Wins DO matter. I know you didn't post this to me but to pretend winning isn't going to change some perspectives is foolish.

Wins do matter, but 2 in a row don't negate the 7 losses, Winston's issues/turnovers, etc. (just from this year).

Some of the Winston defenders act like that.

Winston's never been the only problem, but to point at our "top offense" as something to be prideful in is ignorant to the overall game of complimentary football. Historically QB's giving the ball up at high rates have bad defenses. Winning the turnover battle may be a bit hyperbolic among coach speak, but it is crucial and important.

Winston always seemingly does well when the season is out of reach and we all go into next year with hope.

I don't know how any intelligent football fan would be accepting of throwing money at Winston after what we've seen to this point.

Only thing I disagree with (which is cause for me to question agendas) is an opinion that AT NO PRICE should we keep him.

Casual fans will ALWAYS give too much credit to the QB in wins....

And too much "credit" when we lose.

They tend to focus on 1 guy on the team and follow him closely, grading him out as to their personal view if he is good or not.

And good examples above, fans hated Favre early in his career.....

And in his first 5 years casuals thought Manning would always suck as well.

Hard not to appreciate opinions from all but tough when you've seen this stuff develop differently many times before.

Reminds me of when Chuck got here and wanted Charley Garner over keeping 25 year old Thomas Jones.

Again, I'm very vocal about keeping TJ, he got to play last 4 games that season and was impressive (to people that know the game).

The rest of the board angrily shouting me down, telling me how Chuck knew more football than I'd ever know, Charley was the perfect fit here.

The biggest issue was fumbling, Jones couldn't hold onto the football they said.

So we kept a 179 scat back coming off knee surgery and let go of a 25 year old potential star who showed great promise.

I'll save you from googling, Garner never played another game, got hurt AGAIN, TJ went on for many many productive years.

Point is look at what's coming, not just what's happened.

Not sold yet but Winston is cutting down on hero ball, seen him throw the ball away even on 3rd down where he would almost always try to fit it somewhere.

His deep ball has improved. And regardless of any stat you want to create we have already put up more points than any other Buc team in history.

IMO to be a true Buc fan you have to always keep an open mind and re-examine issues as they develop.

Doesn't mean we definitely keep him at this point but we aren't doing our due diligence if we don't compare his value to his price.

And yes there is certainly value there to some degree.

I don't look down on people/posters who can transition from one opinion to the next, I respect them. They are usually winners in life.
