But I don’t want to win enough games to keep Jameis around...

I want us to win for no other reason than it would/could mean the younger players in the secondary have figured it out. The biggest reason for the record we have now is the secondary has been atrocious with "you know who" being the second biggest reason.

I could live with some turnovers if we have a defense that was functional against the pass. Not like I'm gonna have a choice cause we all know it's gonna be at least one more year of him....

Now this is a reasonable take.

Wrong! You can't blame the defense being one of the worst scoring defenses in the NFL as a reasonable take to explain the lack of team success.

Anything the attempts to deflect from the one and only thing that explains our losing record will not be accepted here.

Blame Jameis or GTFOH!!!

It can be both terrible defense AND the NFL's turnover King. It doesn't just have to be one or the other.

I would take a solid defense and a fair offense over a team with a solid offense and a fair defense....

Would I prefer a solid offense and defense? Without a turnover machine at QB?? Absofrickinlutely!!!!

I'm am super okay with that pick. I'd love to see Tua under BA, but I don't think the fan base has enough patience for that.

I'm super okay with this pick if Licht signs Germain Ifedi or DJ Humphries (1st rounder for BA in 2015) first.

Trey Adams started all 14 games at LT for the Huskies. I'd say that knee is fine and we should put him back into consideration.

That's a big man. Would he be a RT or LT here?

I don't think pay would prohibit us from moving Smith over to RT if that's what's best for the line. Not to mention the RT market has already been reset, you aren't getting a better RT than Smith for less money outside a rookie contract. If a rookie can take over LT, I'm all for swinging him over. Not to mention many believe he's better suited for that side anyway.

I'm good with the coaching staff making that call. Personally, I'd want to move Smith to the right and put in a stud @ LT.

OT Andrew Thomas would be a dream pick but I don’t think he will be there , I think we get Trey Adams in the 2nd and go Dline in the first , maybe Derrick Brown would be awesome but Raekwon Davis would be able to take over for Suh imo

In order of choice would be ;

Thomas
Brown
Adams
Davis

I keep doing mocks, and with us now in the early teens, I keep ending up with Derrick Brown. Which, while not an offensive lineman, would be fine.

Brugler has us taking Penn State edge Gross-Matos at 13 in his lastest mock. Lotta WRs and OTs in the first round for him.

Arians is unsure of Winston return for 2020 season

If not, Bucs to trade up for Burrow?

No.

Next to 0 chance we'd be able to get to number 1 with the demand for QBs.

We'd probably have to trade up to #1 for Burrow.

I doubt Licht and Arians have the balls for that.

I've accepted that Winston will be back in 2020 because our FO is run by cowards. But I also think the era of, "We're not even going to bring in competition for Jameis!" is at an end. I'm not even getting excited about the possibility of taking a quarterback in the first, though. That's not hedging bets - that's ending Jameis's tenure.

Best guess on 12/4? Jameis either gets the tag or gets a contract that's basically the tag. We draft a QB somewhere between 25-60. If Jameis makes good, we either shop the guy or enjoy having a talented backup. If (when) Jameis disappoints again, well...

I wouldn't put it past this front office to think they can do the "Trade the backup" strategy that has served Bellichik so well.

I’d cut off a pinky to get Chase Young on this defense.

Oh well.

So now that we’ll be picking with the .500ish crowd. Who should be some top targets?

I really like Brown. The idea of a Vea Brown interior gives me a chubb.

Honestly, I'd love to just keep Suh for the twilight of his career. So many players have shown us they can keep going strong well into their 30s, and Suh seems like that type.

Suh wins with strength/power more than quickness/speed (like McCoy for example) so imo Suh should be able to maintain his level of play as age becomes more of an issue.

That said Suh is below Shaw Barrett and JPP in terms of priorities for me personally regarding who we re-sign.

I would love to see Brown, Vea, and Suh together. With LVD and White and Whitehead, best of luck running on that group. If Brown matured quickly and Suh had another strong year, that run D would be legendary.

I don't think there's any way Arians gets fired. His health might catch up with him. But even if we go 0-16, he'll most likely get a 2nd year.

Licht, though? In this scenario, he'll have been here seven years and posted six last place finishes. Frankly, it's vaguely amazing he's survived five out of six. But I guess you get a pass when you're the kind of GM who uses more draft capital on kickers than offensive linemen over the last four years.

He’s such a moron and has been the most annoying thing I’ve ever endured being a Bucs fan.

Atleast if GMs missed in the past they were on guys 3/4 of GM take in that spot.
Here ? Every trip to the podium it’s butterflies and panic attacks because there’s no idea what’s coming out.
Sean Bunting over Dalton Risner , or even Juan Thornhill .. how?
MJ Stewart over Donte Jackson , Jessie Bates, even Carlton Davis ?

I would feel 100x better if the Bucs War Room showed a table of draft magazines or guys going by Kiper/ McShay big board.
