I thought Miller was great on MNF. Fight me.
We were in the minority on that one.

The only time Eddie Murphy has been funny in the last 31 years is for 3 minutes of Bowfinger. That's it. If you're under 35 or so, it's entirely possible you've never seen Murphy be funny in anything new in your entire life. And if you avoid "blue" comedy altogether, and you're only familiar with Murphy from his fami-crap movies, the idea of Murphy being a talented comedic performer probably seems like gaslighting.
SNL is tougher for two reasons:
One, you (as in, all of us) remember SNL as being in it's prime during your personal tween-teen years. It's near-universal, like believing that real pizza is whatever pizza was popular in your home town.
Two, unless you happened to be born around 1965, you're probably wrong about that period being SNL at it's best.
Bonus Third: Even if you disagree on either point, there's no GD way it's happening now.
Coming to America was released in 1988. And if you don't think Eddie Murphy (in any of his character forms) was funny in that, you might want to ask a doctor to remove the pole from your ass. If you're counting that as the last one, I'm sorry you missed Boomerang and Life.
I'm not saying he's funny now, or SNL is funny now. There's a 50/50 shot Dolemite is terribad. And there's roughly zero shot CTA2 is watchable. But if we're going to start saying he was never funny (like Pete did), you're on drugs. And not good ones.

That's Woody Harrelson doing Joe Biden

"I look like a Caddyshack caricature. I don't have anything going on. I'm not smart enough to make myself heard," Harrelson said. "I have just enough confidence in my integrity and my character to think that if I'm a person with an opinion, I should be allowed to express it without being called racist for it and I think it's a much more complicated situation."
In a second interview with Tapper, the actor said both his character's name and appearance are "really dumb," calling his voice and appearance "so dumb" and "so dumb" they don't "even know what a southerner looks like."
