I'm not looking to run like Bell and hop/skip through holes, but it would be nice to have the option to slow down on sweeps and allow the pulling blockers a chance to pick up someone. and this is all without using sprint... so I'm at a lost for how to set up blocks when it's impossible to allow blocks to develop due to not being able to slow down.

I’ve been playing a bit of last years version since Thing 1 bought it. The difference between mindlessly holding down the “turbo” button vs letting your blockers set is pretty telling.

I agree and I would have felt silly posing my question if I was smashing turbo expecting anything other than 'going fast'.

maybe it's just me but over all it feels like there is a delay between button press/stick move and actual response on the screen. I have a <30 day 4k TV, hardwired internet to console, so those shouldn't be a factor. Kicking meter seems to be delayed (and this is even if I don't go full strength on meter), and the delay also makes running seem like I'm playing with my feet. I'll stop to turn/cut and then over compensate due to delay, then the over compensated move finally takes and I end up doing some stupid over-exaggerated cut move.

You're a more seasoned gamer than I, so you probably already know this. But I started playing Rocket League on my 5 year old, 50-inch, $1,000 1080p TV. I thought it was fine. At some point, I switched to an old 20-inch computer monitor that my girlfriend had (only switched to be in a different room). Now I can't play on the TV anymore. The input lag is extremely noticeable. Is your issue just with Madden or could it be the screen?

Thanks Duece.. input lag.. that's the term I was looking for.

I'm going to set my TV to Game Mode and see if that helps a little.

I don't notice any input lag on rocket league but that could be a matter of what I've been accustomed to what is 'normal'

OMG! this made such a HUGE difference!!!! freaking night and day for me.

I was struggling BIG time and my online record was 1-4 with the one win coming from opponent's connection dropping. After the change to my TV I went 2-2 with one L being to a straight chz'er (god I hate that!).

thank god!!!!!!

Never knew it either until recently. It didn't help much for me, though. :(

I've never had the issue either in the past. new 4k tv seemed to be the new variable for me.

I haven't played Madden since Joey Galloway was the Bucs' only real offensive threat. Since it's on PC now, and I have some free time now that I've finished my Masters degree, I was thinking about checking it out this year.

Would you PC players recommend it as a purchase?

You should buy a month of Origins Access(It's only 4.99) and you can get the 10 hour trial of Madden 19 to see if you'll truly like it(You'll also get a bunch of games in the vault and past FIFA, NBA, and NHL games). The trial is the full game(not a demo) and any progress you make saves if you decide to buy the game.

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll try it out. How bad can it be?

Does anyone know how you gain skill points??
What I mean is, What is the correlation between gaining XP and skill points??

Does a certain amount of XP equal 1 SP??

I would imagine that to be the case. I don't know the exact number though.
