With the 30th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select...

Image

Will Hernandez - G - UTEP

Kirk Cousins and Dalvin Cook. Those are two big reasons for this pick. We spent big time on our QB. We need to protect him and give him a strong run game. Dalvin cook is coming back from injury and we want big open lanes for him. Hernandez is the monster truck powerhouse of a guard that’s going to do it.

With the 31st pick, the Pats select Kolton Miller OT UCLA.

DN was determined that we not address this position earlier so we do it here. We feel relieved to be existing the 1st round after filling 2 major holes that opened up during FA.

With The 33rd Overall Pick, The Cleveland Browns Select

Image

Connor Williams, OT, Texas

I'll quote former Buccaneers defensive end and current draftnik Stephen White on Williams:

"Connor Williams is a big, mean athlete with great technique...Williams has some of the best footwork for a tackle I have seen in a while...Williams should hear his name called on the first night, and he will be protecting quarterbacks in the NFL for a long time."

No, he's not Joe Thomas. Nobody is. But we expect him to be our opening day left tackle this season and many seasons thereafter.

With the 34th pick in the draft, the New York Giants select RB Ronald Jones, USC.

Image

We added Jonathan Stewart this offseason but he is merely a bandaid. Jones gives us a dynamic runner that we’ve been lacking for the past few seasons to pair with his former teammate and our young QB of the future.

With The 34th Pick In The 2018 NFL Draft, The Cleveland Browns Select

Image

Josh Jackson, Cornerback, Iowa

I'd love to be draft linemen here, but if you people are going to drop top fifteen talents into my lap at #34, you're going to force my hand.

Some scouts like Jackson better than Ward, or roughly as much. He has everything necessary to be an excellent NFL cornerback in the NFL. We comp him favorably to Stephon Gilmore.

With the 36th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select...

Image

Billy Price - Center - Ohio State

We addressed our LT with our first round pick and managed to pick up a couple more picks in the second round. Our OL is a wreck, still. We love what Price brings. He plays with a nasty streak. We need to get Joe Mixon going this season and we need to protect Dalton so he’s not panicking and throwing picks. We’d have been comfortable taking Price in round 1. His injury checks out and shouldn’t have any effect on his season.

With the 37th pick in the 2018 NFL draft the Indianapolis Colts select;

Da'Ron Payne, DT - Alabama

Image

Operation 'build the trenches' continues with our 3rd pick of this draft with the best player we had on the board. We thought about CB (to **** w/ Bucs fans), RB, or trading down for more picks, but Payne was just too good of a value at 37th overall.

Payne will join Dline with 6th overall pick DE Bradley Chubb, promising 3rd year DT Hassan Ridgeway and DE Jabaal Sheard. We know the path to winning the suddenly good AFCS is have a strong Dline that can hold up vs the physical running style in Jacksonville and Tennessee. Payne is dominant run defender day 1 and a guy we feel can offer some juice in the pass rush as he develops.

With the 38th pick in the 2018 NFL draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select:

Tim Settle, DT Virginia Tech

Image

"But Super K, aren't we thin at CB?"

It would appear so, but we like our fringe guys (Elliot, Smith), Bob McClain didn't play horribly last year and can still be brought back and we haven't given up on VH3..yet

"Didn't we already retool our DL in FA?"

FA additions are Band-Aids, we are looking to draft and develop a bad ass DL (tear falls down Mdb's cheek)..

"But we need DE help, not DT!"

Not so fast my friend...Spence was thought of as a wild card/phenom last year, capable of getting 10+ sacks....adding him back healthy to a stable of JPP, Curry, Gholston and Clarke we like our DEs...

Steve T can take his fat ass to the practice squad where it belongs..Settle offers us a guy whom has been compared to DPoe in that he can line up at any tackle spot, whether a 4-3 or 3-4....

Likewise, GMac isnt getting any younger..a replacement needed to be had..if you haven't noticed, our personnel moves have shown that we are getting away from the T2 and UT heavy/focused defensive scheme that has been around here for 20+ years..we want bigger, stronger, more powerful DTs opposed to the smaller, quicker penetrators...

We LOVE Settle...he could easily be our "Jernigan" in joining ex Eagles Allen and Curry...

And it puts Urine (on purpose) back at the bottom of our DT ladder (where he belongs)...

With the 39th pick in the 2018 NFL draft, the Chicago Bears select:

Image

DJ Moore, Wide Receiver, Maryland

We are very excited to have our pick of receivers at the beginning of the second round. And boy, do we need one.

Our two presumptive starters, Kevin White and Allen Robinson, are both coming off injury. They combined to make three catches for a grand total of twenty-three yards last year. And while we are hopeful that they come back from their respective injuries at full strength, we refuse to bet our season on that. GM Cheb and head coach Matt Nagy agree that Mitch Trubisky needs playmakers on the outside who can capitalize on his arm strength.

Enter DJ Moore, the Big Ten Receiver of the Year. This 6'0", 210lb prospect finished in the top five among receivers at the combine in the 40-yard dash (4.42), vertical leap (39.5"), and broad jump (11'0"), showcasing his speed, leaping, and explosive abilities. He was targeted nearly 40% of the time in his college offense at Maryland, so he is used to carrying the load of the passing game. DJ Moore is the best catch-and-run threat in the draft, and coach Nagy knows how to get him open looks in the screen game, having coordinated Tyreek Hill to amazing success. He combines elite explosion with power and violence after the catch, playing much larger than his size when he has the ball in his hands. He also has experience as a returner.

DJ Moore has been compared favorably to Golden Tate, Jarvis Landry, and Pierre Garcon in the media. To us here in Chicago, his saavy and ability after the catch remind us a bit of Panther's great Steve Smith Sr.

If Robinson and White return healthy, then DJ is under no pressure to carry the passing game right away. At the very least, he will give us quality reps as the number three or four guy while he gets up to speed against NFL competition. We pity the poor nickle corner who has to cover DJ Moore by himself. Whether or not Moore wins a starting role this season is going to be up to his effort and achievement.

Some think that his height will limit him to slot receiver work, and while he clearly shows that he has the short-area quickness and talent to be a slot guy, we think that he can offer strong reps on the outside as well, given his speed and athleticism. We also expect him to be a strong contributor to our special teams units as a returner.

We think that DJ Moore is going to be a great player for the Chicago Bears. Welcome home.

With the 41st pick in the draft, the Oakland Raiders select:

Image

Sony Michel - RB - Georgia

Jon Gruden tried to run to the podium to turn in the card, but tripped over the massive erection he got thinking of designing plays for Sony Michel out of the backfield. Mark Davis then giggled like a dope.

Neither Marshawn or Dougie have the burst and acceleration that Michel has. The Raiders can work Michel in as a 3rd down back before eventually becoming the feature back in the future.

With the 44th pick in the 2018 NFL draft, the Washington Redskins select...

Isaiah Oliver, CB, Colorado.

Look at that length!

Seriously though, we're not a fan of corners that are short or slow in a division that includes Alshon Jeffery, Courtland Sutton, maybe Dez Bryant, OBJ, Brandon Marshall and more. Isaiah Oliver is neither of those things.

He comes in straight away across from Josh Norman and we're confident this can be one of the premier CB duos in the league.

Darius Leonard - LB - SC State

He flies all over the field, can play the pass, the run and has a nose for making plays in the backfield with 42 TFLs and 13.5 sacks in his college career. The time is now to start retooling our LB group.

With The 47th Pick In The 2018 NFL Draft, The Cleveland Browns Select

Image

Harrison Phillips, Defensive Tackle, Stanford

Man, we are excited about this pick. Phillips is a big, strong, mean glass-eater who is going to tie up blockers and allow our athletic ends and linebackers to make plays. He was one of the best run stuffers in college football during his career and we expect no less at the next level.

With the 50th pick in the draft the Cowboys select Donte Jackson, CB, LSU

Image

Quite honestly, the Cowboys can use someone at every level of the defense. Of the people left, we had Jackson highest on our board (we had him between 35 and 45). He should bring some athleticism and attitude to a secondary that lacks both. We can pencil him to get extensive playing time right away to a secondary that is short on depth. Though we also had our eye on a couple LB's and a DL, we feel Jackson will make the most immediate impact
