Oh she's hot as hell. If she was hot as hell and an experienced bookkeeper, my post would have a whole different tone.

The woman she's replacing, while hot in her own right, busted her ass on the job and is a big help to me keeping the books. Now its all on me.

This gal offers me nothing but a view. Gotta train her up.

I did, I waited till I was 36 fully knowing there was a good chance that I wouldn't be the grandparent to any kids mine has that my grandad was to me...he was in his late 40's when i was born. I'll basically be like my dad is to my kid now.

There are pros and cons to having kids early and late.

OK -- 1980s TRIVIA TIME

Last night my daughter was eating some of these orange gummi slices

Image

And I had a flashback as a kid to the gummi candy we had in the 80's.

Rather than being fruit shaped, there were six square pieces of gummis...all six had different colors. Together they were about the size of a snickers bar but a little bit thicker. They can on a piece of white cardboard wrapped in clear cellophane.

Does anyone remember these? Do you remember the name? (it took me about 15 minutes for my ah-ha moment)

I'd link a picture but they all have the name of the candy on it.

That's a toughie. I was a fat kid and knew my candy well. I don't remember gummi candy being that popular in the 80s. Sweettartz and Spree had a chewy, but they were round. Dots came in a box. Are you thinking of Jujubees?

Two good guesses but that’s not what I’m thing of. These came just six to a pack. Each was about 3/4 inch by 3/4 inch

They were horrible. The only time I ever got them was when my grandpa bought them. He apparently had a thing for them

Chuckles

Dammit, Z. How are you going g to answer your own question?

Speaking of awful grandparent candy - my great grandmother would always have a dish of these mixed candies in her room. We'd always eat 2 of the assortment and leave the rest because they were truly awful. I gotta see if I can remember what they were.
