damnit, god forbid we put an actual intellectual or somebody who even vaguely understands the geopolitical board game, and not some just recognizable face or masterful orator, in the oval office

edit: it's a terrible sentence and I'm standing by it :smokingred:

To expend about thirty seconds of effort on this seriously....

pros:
Head of a very large communications empire.
Knows business
positive public persona

cons:
zero foreign policy experience
might not be taken seriously as a candidate
would essentially be Obama's third term

pass.

I would at least listen to what she had to say, but at the end of the day, I'd probably be calling her Bernie Sanders on 'roids.

That's why I'd at least listen to her...to see if she's different and, if so, how she's different. Then I'd vote for the Libertarian candidate.

Let me preface this by saying that first, I'm not into politics at all, and second, I would respect the opinion of anyone voting outside of the two major parties and assume they know more about politics than I do.

But why would you go to the polls and vote for the Libertarian candidate? I know people who voted for Gary Johnson in 2016. Is it a matter of principle or do you always think "this is the year!" Couldn't you save time and just not vote at all?

The two-party system is rigged. Perhaps an insanely popular candidate like Oprah or The Rock could win as a 3rd party candidate. But just like Trump they know their odds dramatically increase if they can get on the ticket as a D or R.

I would just want him to get on the debate stage and ask his opponent their feelings on a particular issue, when they try to respond he hit's them with the IT DOESN'T MATTER what you think about X.
