Man defense is futile unless you play single high w/ a robber underneath, but then corner routes from the slot/TE burn you.

I call defensive plays almost exclusively from the '3-deep Zone blitz' concept menu. Only time I come out of that is if they are running it on me.

I'm in franchise mode and trying to see if I develop GREAT man corners will it make a difference. Lately I've tried blitzing a ton and playing safety myself. I've created turnovers while giving up some big plays as well.

Its a lot better than 15.. the ODB type catches are a lil too often, but i much rather have that than how ridiculous the INTs were in past years.

I remember Madden from like 6 or so years ago(09 or 08 IIRC) where the defenders would do superjumps just to intercept the balls, or casually glide over(literally float sometimes) in front of the WR in a perfect angle to INT. Sometimes it was a highlight considering how dull the games could sometimes get.

Every Madden for the past several years has done that..some more than others..but thats why this madden is a good break from that. Makes playing vs. friends more enjoyable actually being able to go deep.

It is way too easy. You just find a team with 2 good guys at SPC.. It's game over right there. You can beat damn near anyone. They made it way too OP.

Last year was the direct opposite, but they overcorrected. Last year.. You could get on without interceptions, but you couldn't throw deep. This year.. You can throw deep on the outside against cover 3 fairly easily..its over 50% for me... It shouldn't be that easy.

Ya I agree it is too easy sometimes especially with taller guys and they did over compensate, its like they cant ever find a good middle ground for some reason. Sliders might help but I dont mess with them..

anyone having an issue when attempting to INT (Y for xbox) the buttons don't seem to register and the controlled player does nothing? So frustrating to be in position only to give yup a catch.

Welcome to Madden 2016.

I gotta agree w/ AMP here. The gameplay is ridiculously weighted to passing (deep) this year. In my franchise I play on All Madden w/ the sliders maxed for the CPU and still bomb it on them all game. Playing kids/people online is mostly the same also.

I can literally send Evans deep every play and if he's not double covered he catches it over 50% of the time, even on All Madden (which shouldn't be that easy imo).

Just run 'shot' type plays all game and hold in 'Y' when the ball is the air after switching to your WR and you'll score 50 points/gm.

I still enjoy the game, but it makes playing a live person feel like a Baylor - TCU game.

The only defense against the deep pass is Cover 3 or 4 and a speed rusher. On the Bucs Jack Smith can be a beast because he has around 85 speed.

Yeah, Cover 2 is usless vs anyone w/ half a brain in this game. Cover 3 and 4 still get's burned half of the time against a good WR b/c it is still single coverage deep. That is why I agreed w/ AMP when he said that if you have 2 WRs that have a good 'SPC' rating it's game over.

Deep posts, 'shot' and 'sonya' type plays w/ 3 WRs running vertical routes is all you need. One will always be single covered.

When I play against and opponent that does this I play cover 4 (w/ my DBs "overtop") and rush atleast 5 (if not 6) and control my MLB for the underneath routes. But even that gets burned deep if I don't pressure on the QB.

Lame...

I love when someone is online and plays cover 2.. Usually 60-80 yard bomb to my fastest guy from the slot down the middle way too automatic. Once someone goes cover 4 you can just kill them with drags (I like to have my RB sneak out going the other way).

Yup, they made the game too easy on offense.

If they drop into cover 4 just hit the RB in the flat and it is a 5 yd gain that can become a big play of you make that one defender miss with a spin.

I still play online some, but it gets old playing bombs away every game. I personally liked it better when offense/passing was more difficult.

I agree. Last game it required a good run game and a intricate West coast attack to do much of anything for me.. And even then with the certain opponent they could really shut you down. This one is disappointing because offense is frustratingly easy and defense is frustratingly hard.

Played a local game with a friend last night, he was Pats and I was the Browns. It was 35-28 at half time and the game ended 63-49. The only time I could stop him is when he decided to stop throwing to Gronk and threw a couple picks.

I have found that defensively.. If is easy to beat humans operating the pats because their offense really isn't that good and you can highlight gronk.

The problem was, I couldn't get any pressure because the Browns' d-line sucks balls.

I ran about half and half 3-4/4-3. The interior rush was decent, but I had no outside pressure at all.
