After BF4 was essentially a reskin of BF3 I have decided to lay off BF games for a while. The next Dice game I'll buy is going to be Battlefront 2.

This ones actually different in the sense its cops vs bad guys. Has new modes and vehicles(cars/motorcycle, etc) But ya I agree, bought 4 used after all the online crap was mostly fixed, but just never played it much. The last BF I really like was bad company 2.

I'm aware of the change in theme for Hardline. Still, a BF game is about simulated warfare for me. I'm not interested in what amounts to a Counter Strike rip off with vehicles.

Has anyone played Dying Light yet? Thought about getting it, but not sure if it's worth it. Never played a zombie game outside of Call of Duty

Total War: SHOGUN 2 and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic yet again (One of my top 5 games all time) for any fans of Star Wars the Humble Bundle they've got going on right now is fantastic.

If even if you aren't a SW fan the $1 tier is worth it just for KotOR (~40 hrs of gameplay on a single playthrough if you don't take your time to explore every nook and cranny, plus the storytelling is some of the best you'll find in a video game.), it doesn't hurt that Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy and Dark Forces are pretty damn good.

KOTOR and KOTOR II are damn good games. It was the game that made me realize that Drew Karpyshyn is the premier sci-fi vidya game writer of our time. Which was only highlighted after he left Bioware after Mass Effect 2 and the story line kind of fell apart. DAMN YOU MAC WALTERS!

Currently still in the Indie game thing. It kinda sucks when you feel so burned by a game (Destiny) that it becomes hard to trust the big game industry anymore. I was going to make an indie game thread, but I'm not sure how many people here are very into indie titles. In the meantime, here's what I've been playing (in no particular order):

FTL: Faster Than Light
Prison Architect
Don't Starve Together (with my brother)...multiplayer aspect of this game makes it so fun.
Sunless Sea -- this is my most recent purchase and the game has been fantastic! If you're into games like FTL, SS is right up your alley. Lots of reading though, but that gives the game a lot of character.

As for big games, I do still pop in CoD Advanced Warfare from time to time. Considering picking up Evolve. I also put a preorder in for Mortal Kombat X because with that, I at least know what I'll be getting.

Edit: forgot to add Binding of Isaac Rebirth. Was so happy when PS+ put this up for free on PS4 a couple months ago.

It has nothing to do with that, but those franchises (outside of NBA assuming it's 2k and possibly UFC) are total crap now.

Yeah, Madden is pretty ****. Fifa 15 is a great game. I play in online career modes and just random matches when the matchmaking is working. It's really competitve, but I've been playing Fifa for a while now so I'm at least decent.

I was obsessive about beating that game. Played a few marathon sessions over the course of a few weeks in order to do it, then immediately stopped. Great game, though. Stripped down and basic in all the right ways, but enough RTS and random elements, combined with difficulty, to keep it interesting.

I'm really looking forward to Halo 5. The rest I agree with.

In fact, there are almost no multiplayer games at all that I'm looking forward to until that comes out. Really starved for something to fill the time.

Ya the halo 5 beta was actually a nice surprise, didn't expect it to be that good. But, lack of new shooters is why I play cod. Destiny was fun for a couple months, titanfall same. Don't play shooters like I used to due to the lacxk of them.

But NBA 2ks a good game, online just has issues. I got ufc on sale for $10 for digital, figured what the hell.

Oh I believe this game to be as close to perfect as a finished game can be. It's so simple and "basic," yet can be very difficult and has infinite replay value. It took me about 74 tries on Easy to get my first win. And I barely got it. Afterwards, I dedicated all my time to unlocking the rest of the ships. Almost finished with that...but it's taking some time.

This actually has become my go-to game for pretty much any mood I'm in.

If you like FTL, lach, I made the comment in that post that Sunless Sea is another good one to try out. It isn't quite rogue-like, but they're adding random island generators to their map in an upcoming update...which adds a ton of value to games, in my opinion.

Yeah, Sunless Sea is on my radar. Darkest Dungeon, too. I'm mostly waiting for both to be polished up a bit. DD especially, because it's in early access on Steam I think.

I'm sort of surprised by how much I like rogue-likes these days. I used to hate the idea of random elements instead of properly curated levels, but one of my most anticipated games of the year is Below by Capy Games. I've been waiting for it since it was revealed before the Xbox One launch, and it was one of the reasons I felt okay getting one at launch. It has been a long wait since then, and now it's coming to Steam as well, but I think it will be worth the wait.

I'm also kind of obsessed with a really simple dungeon crawler mobile game called Pixel Dungeon. Really good time-waster with good difficulty and enough random elements to keep it interesting. Free, too, which is nice.

Yes. I like it a lot. If you are familiar with Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide, its basically a complete copy which isn't a bad thing. It adds parkour which is fun. There is over 50 hours of gameplay if you play the side quest.

Oh, and the night time is the scariest. I dread playing at night.

Talking Angela is one of the greatest games ever, no doubt. It's one of the primary reasons I'm looking forward to Mew-Genics so much.

It's awesome. You get to feed her. Dress her. Change her hair style. You can even put make-up on her. You also get to tuck her in for night night.
