Somehow I own 3 copies of Destiny 2 despite only buying it outright once. Not even that good either :|

Haven’t played it yet, but folks in my Discord are saying the new DLC is incredible.

Haven't actually played any of the DLC yet, even though I own the expansion pass from the D2 that I won in a giveaway.

I know Reddit hates it because apparently it takes stuff from the core game and locks it behind DLC wall. Core game though just didn't hold my interest as well as the original Destiny did. Which is a shame because I put a decent amount of hours into the first.

First DLC was very meh. Unlocks some average-decent weapons, some okay armor. New raid, which I haven’t done but have seen (it’s cool-ish). The additional storyline was good, but very short.

Early feedback is that Bungie is going very D1 with the new stuff. We had a four clan alliance. Players fell off big time with the release of Fortnite, et al; but they’re coming back strong. I’ll get in next week and be able to provide my own experiences then...

Did you enjoy Halo 4/5?

I still think I enjoyed Halo 1, 2 and 3 in that order. I just got 4 a few months ago and I can't really get through the campaign, due to a lack of interest/fun. The graphics are amazing but whether it's due to poor design or just a lack of nostalgia, I'm not a big fan.

Assault on the Control Room and Silent Cartographer, both from 1, will always be the pinnacle of Halo fun to me.

I never actually played any of the Halo games except for Halo Wars and ODST(and I guess a game or 2 of Halo 3 at my friend's house when it came out).

I’ve only played about an hour of this. But it is a beautiful game. Some ‘episodes’/stories have tons of ways they could play out. Some only have a few. I hope it becomes more challenging as it goes on.

H1Z1 on PS4 is fun as ****. Glitchy and buggy but it’s in beta. Fun though with friends. So much more enjoyable than Fortnite for me.

It is a fun game...but the devs mismanaged the **** out of it on PC. Basically sat in Early Access for an eternity while the Devs pushed crates and released updates that just added new bugs. Didn't really start making needed changes until PUBG started stealing their player base(Maybe they got complacent after the Day Z devs quit).

Still find it funny that it was the headliner of a Humble Bundle

You should. It's a really fun game with more explosions than JC2.

You can add Fallout 76 and The Elder Scrolls VI. Also a release date, finally, for Kingdom Hearts 3. It's only been 13 years.

My kids are fired up for Fallout 76 since it takes place in West Virginia.

I look forward to Elder Scrolls VI. I'll definitely have a look into some of those others as well. I'm a big fan of fantasy RPGs though. Playing Witcher 3 right now in fact.

ESVI is definitely intriguing. Looks to be potentially set in High Rock/Hammerfell based on the teaser. Like Starfield though, it probably won't be released for a couple years.

FO76 I'm a little worried might be too big as it's supposed 4x bigger than FO4.

I've been tempted a few times to try the Fallout series. Which one would you recommend (Xbox One) getting started with? Not starting at the beginning is fine by me. I started Elder Scrolls with Skyrim for example.

FO76 is an all online, survival rpg. Also, reportedly the world is split up in to a few areas Witcher 3 style. So hopefully that helps prevent the whole "big world, no content" issue.

So those two things combined make me feel better about the size of the game. Also, I love me some online play in the right environment and that's right up my alley. Form alliances and build bases then fight other players over land and ****?

I'll take two.

Fallout 4 would be the most accessible to you. Each game in the series is self-contained so you wouldn't have any trouble following it.

Basically, the world of Fallout diverges from ours around WW2. They have fusion technology but lack miniaturization so the technology all has a very 1950's aesthetic. The games are mostly set around 200 years after the Great War, which is basically WW3 where somebody launched nukes first, then everybody launched nukes, and then the world got blown to hell.

I'd recommend at least giving it a try, it isn't for everyone but the world in and of itself is interesting and entertaining.

Keep in mind Fallout 4 isn't the best game in the series (it isn't a bad game at all but New Vegas is amazing) but FO3 and Fallout: New Vegas are both ~10 years old and I'm not even sure they're out for the Xbox One.

Both New Vegas and FO3 are backward compatible. As for a good starting point, like Outside said, FO4 is probably the most accessible option right now. Graphics are the best, and everything is more fluid than 3. The order you play doesn't really matter as none of the stories mix.

That said, I had more fun playing 3 than any of the others. It probably has the most amount of lore in the game and the best DLC in the series. Had a better feel of immersion to it. Also depends on where you want to play...FO3 takes place in the Capital Wasteland(Washington DC), FO4 takes place in the Commonwealth(Massachusetts), and New Vegas...in Las Vegas lol.

I will say that New Vegas is different than the other Fallouts. It's harder compared to the other games, and has actual game choices that depending on your actions...could make half the characters in the game want to kill you on sight. It's a lot more buggy though as it was made by a different company(Obsidian, while others were made by Bethesda)

That might be the first time someone has ever accused a game studio to be buggier than Bethesda. Not that you're wrong. That said I think New Vegas has the most cohesive story of the three.

Thanks for the info on Fallout. You've convinced me to give it a try. It will be next on my list after I'm done with Witcher 3.
