Official 2020 Presidential Candidate Announcement Thread

Postby Zarniwoop » Mon Jun 04, 2018 4:31 pm

Given our current president what better way to kick off the 2020 cycle then with an official presidential announcement from a former pornstar -- Cherie DeVille

You can find lots more of her vidoes on-line to do much more extensive research on her positions (tee-hee)

---------------------------

I will keep an updated list here of all formal candidates announcements

1.) Cherie DeVille -- Progressive Democrat
2.) John McAfee -- Libertarian
3.) John Delaney - Democrat, House of Rep, Maryland
4.) Arvin Vohra - Libertarian

John McAfee -- Libertarian -- describes himself as a for-profit evangelist for competitive currencies

I think he was 3rd or 4th last cycle in the Libertarian primaries

Here he is on Larry King

and an interview on RT

**** it; I’m in.

My platform:

1 - reduce military spending by 25%

2 - audit every bureau and agency. Make common sense reductions based on the results

3 - free SmartTVs for every family with a net income under 80k. I’m talking 4K UHD, voice activated, massaging recliner type deals.

Remember kids, every vote for me isn’t a vote for Trump or Clinton!

John McAfee is literally insane. Guys like him are why no one takes the Libertarian party seriously.

He's worse than insane. He's a murderer and rapist. There's a great, pretty new documentary on Netflix too. I think it's called "Gringo". So yeah, he'd probably be a great politician and get a lot of votes, unfortunately...

Yeah, I know. When I said insane I wasn't being hyperbolic. I wish Guatemala had sent his ass back to Belize and not here.

There hasn't been any formal announcement yet, but there is rampant speculation Howard "The guy from the old Nintendo Power cartoons" Shultz stepped down at Starbucks to mount a run (undoubtedly as a Democrat.)

So long as the Democratic candidate can beat Trump, they have my vote. My fear is the Dems don't have any young talented politicians who can mount a serious challenge.

I mean...they can't do much worse than last time. A normal, non-loathsome adult with a sane campaign manager who visits swing states is like upgrading from Joe Hawley to Ryan Jensen for the Dems.

I hope it is that simple, but the Democratic Party has made it their habit to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I think Biden or Bernie could beat Trump. I believe either man would have beaten Trump had they faced him on the ballot instead of Hillary.

Kamala Harris ticks alot of boxes for me. She's an impressive woman. I doubt she wins the nomination though.

I like Maxine Waters but I don't think that she has broad enough national appeal to be a strong presidential candidate. She's a person who certainly is in the discussion but so far down the list that she would drop out of the race quickly if she mounted a run. She topped out politically in the House of Representatives a long time ago.

Her current role as Cassandra on Capitol Hill fits her wonderfully.

That said, I would pay alot of money to watch Maxine Waters debate Donald Trump. I'd clear my schedule and throw a viewing party.

A good start might be for the DNC to not try to rig the primaries to push their shittiest candidate through to the general.

There's a lot to like about Gabbard, but I don't know if she's ready for that big of a stage. I look at her like a QBOTF, tons of potential, but you don't want to rush her out on the field.

I guess this is as good of a place to ask this as any, but does Bernie have a chance against the likes of Biden or Democrat "x" in the primaries?

I think Bernie would do well in the general and maybe even win (not a slam dunk), but running as a Democrat, seeing what happened in the last election, does he have any shot?

Of the Dems, I like Gabbard the most. Which means she has no chance to be the nominee with the current state of the DNC.

Not sure the Dems will support a moderate. Far too many of the Keith Ellison 'open borders' types controlling the DNC and that message won't win in a general election imo.

Either way, if unemployment, the economy, foreign policy, and immigration maintain their current trends it will be a tough challenge for whoever the candidate is.

I can guarantee one thing.

As upset as people were when Trump won, they would be exponentially more so if he were re-elected. I think riots would ensue.

Imo no, and it's because of who is running the DNC. They are not bernie-bros.

Ageism will also work against Bernie. He'll be 79 in 2020. I know he appeals to young people, but that means he'd potentially be 86 by the end of his 2nd term. I don't see it. I think Bernie missed his window when the Clinton/DNC cheated him.

He's the presumptive front runner for Democrats right now because he is the most popular politician in the country. If the powers that be in the DNC want to take Bernie down again, it'll take a guy coming out of nowhere like Obama did.
