shot in the dark here, but the purpose is to elicit the concept of perpetuity.

they are not simply stating "He HAS risen!", as if to reference a specific point in time that he rose once,

they are saying "is", as if to invoke a continuous presence; to say "he rose, and he continues to exist in a 'Risen' state" (be it in reality or the hearts/minds of his followers)

or it could have just been translation artifact. or maybe a little mix of both

From a conceptual standpoint that’s pretty much it. Sort of like the idea of transubstantiation ... it’s an ever occurring thing

From a grammar point in older english that’s often how “to be” was conjugated at the time in its different tenses ... like “it is ended” or “they are departed”

Sorry I missed this .. It's more "He's still here" ... the concept that Jesus is still on our Earth in spirit today. Easter was amazing for me personally as I heard context in something that I had not perceived before.

After being crucified and laid to rest, 2 women wanted to go to his grave to anoint Him with oil. When they arrived, the stone was rolled away and His body wasn't there.

The stone wasn't rolled away so He could get out .... it was so WE could come in.

Do you want God to forgive all your sins? Repeat this prayer: Father God, I recognize that I am a sinner, I repent of all my sins, I confess that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and I believe God raised him from the dead, Amen. Acts 3: 19. Romans 10: 9-10.
