This.

Marijuana is damn near a miracle drug.

Personally, I've never really liked smoking pot. But I see no reason for it to be illegal. It's a leaf, the same as tobacco is. You want to eat it or smoke it? Go ahead. Alcohol has to be manufactured, but we're fine with that.

I see no reason why marijuana should not be legalized on the fed level, then let the individual states decide if they want it legal in their state or not. I don't think it would be very long before it was legal in all 50 states. Growing for personal use only should also be allowed with limitations.

To be fair, they were probably high and didn't understand the question.

So we'll count that as a 'yes'...

Can’t link this right now but the link can be found on CNN.com in an opinion piece arguing Sessions has made the opioid war harder: According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, states with medical marijuana laws have reduced opioid overdose deaths by 24.8 percent.

Teen gunned down after trying to sell fake bag of pot affidavit

A teen angry that a drug dealer tried to dupe him with fake marijuana — a bag of paprika, salt, pepper and other spices — shot the 19-year-old several times in his bedroom as his girlfriend looked on, according a newly unsealed search warrant affidavit.

Pot smokers are nonviolent offenders, right people? ;)

I agree, you are taking a lot of abuse here. I just voted and hopefully you’ll consider voting as well. We could use another no vote; I’m all for diversity of opinion.

Probably wouldn’t have that situation if he wasn’t going through some shady dealer trying to swindle him.

Anyone dumb enough to think paprika, salt, and pepper was weed isn't a pot smoker. And if you're dumb enough to think they are, I can't help you.

Most pot smokers are not violent. Just like most people are not violent. If you legalize, the black market dissolves, you remove the criminal aspect, and suddenly no one is getting shot over a bag of weed. By a dealer, customer, cop, or whatever. But your winking smiley makes me think you're just trolling.

Right.. What a stupid question.

And for the record, the black market will still exists but it's home growers "donating" product.. not drug dealers who happen to sell weed in addition to other substances

The black market does still exist in legal states but it's minuscule compared to beforehand. It's basically just a few people who don't want to pay the tax. But once the overwhelming majority of people visit a dispensary they are not going back to buying weed on the street, even if they can get it for a bit cheaper.

In the dispensary everything is tested and labeled. You know the exact of amount of THC and terpenes in the product. You don't have to worry about being robbed, ripped off or busted. And probably most important, you are purchasing a quality product as the plants are well cared for.

I get nauseous just thinking about that brick weed smuggled in from Mexico that I used to smoke in college, nothing but a bag full of seeds.

Honestly I don't think that weed exists anymore..i can't find **** weed anymore if I tried.

And the black market does still exists. My brother moved out to CO, bought two plots of 45 acres, built two green houses.. the whole 9 yards... anyways my point is, based on what I've been told, by knowledgeable people, black market is still there... just a different variation
