Greatest American of the19th century

Write in candidates are allowed.

Winner of this poll will enter playoff bracket against the winners of the other 3 polls and the top two overall runners up will get a wild card berth. Seeding is based on total votes. Older candidates win tiebreakers for seeding.

Guys whose greatness spans across that century mark gotta go somewhere. I put all thr founders in the 18th century, but this vote is very valid.

Had the same problem with Gates and Jobs being in the 20th or 21st

While they are all worthy candidates as well as some I found that were not mentioned (Thomas Edison anyone), I went with Lincoln here. I just found it hard not to give my vote to the man that had the vision and fortitude to pull a foundering nation back together.
