Donnie seriously shot his legal rebuttal in the foot with some of the things he said tonight in his rally. Does he not realize anything he says becomes a matter of public record? This night will definitely be referenced in the coming legal proceedings.

First he gets his supporters to cheer removing the 9th circuit in favor of him, and is idiotic rage against the Judicial branch came after. These things might not directly matter to the subject at hand, but they will not help him. You don't go to court and insult the judge, it won't work well for anybody.

Expect these statements to be referenced in court:
“This is a watered-down version of the first one,” Trump said. “And let me tell you something, I think we ought to go back to the first one and go all the way, which is what I wanted to to in the first place.”

He noted that senior adviser Stephen Miller said in a Fox News interview last month that the revised order was intended to have “the same basic policy outcome” as the first one, aside from a few changes designed to bolster the administration’s legal standing.

He actually called it "unprecedented judicial overreach".

Really? Unprecedented? It literally happened before... a few weeks ago.

According to Politico, some Congressional Republicans are not happy with some of Secretary Mattis's undersecretary choices.

It would seem he is unconcerned with the political affiliation of the candidates.

Tom Cotton and Ted Cruz were named specifically with Cotton's chief of staff allegedly storming out of the Pentagon.

In all seriousness, it's nice to see that his conduct is consistent with his reputation. The warrior monk is neither fickle or malleable.

Need more men and women like him in Washington. He has an Eisenhower air about him.

Jeff Sessions: I'm 'amazed that a judge sitting on an island in the Pacific' can block Trump's travel order

Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Wednesday slammed a Hawaii judge who placed a nationwide block on President Donald Trump's executive order banning travel from six majority-Muslim countries.

"I really am amazed that a judge sitting on an island in the Pacific can issue an order that stops the President of the United States from what appears to be clearly his statutory and Constitutional power," Sessions said on "The Mark Levin Show," in comments first reported by CNN.

Sessions said judges shouldn't get to "psychoanalyze" Trump to determine whether his executive orders are lawful.

"It's either lawful or it's not," he said. ...

Our Attorney General doesn't know how the law and courts work.

Also, this.

I'm amazed that Jeff Sessions thinks that a judge in Hawaii shouldn't have the same power as a judge from a continental state.

The 4th circuit has upheld the injunction on Trumps Muslim Ban.

Will probably head to the SCOTUS.

Meanwhile, Manchester bomber traveled to 2 (is that right?) of the countries on that ban list before killing 22 and wounding 50+. Bet some UK families wish they had extra scrutiny on those trips.......

Very simple. No. US travel ban would not have stopped UK bombing.

If UK had travel ban would attack still have happened? Will be interesting to find out how essential the foreign travel was to the plot/execution. I think there have been 6/7 arrests in UK related to attack, plus the family we know of arrested in Libya. Have read family traveled frequently between. I doubt increased screening/vetting on travel to those countries would not have aided in the attack.

Let me clarify the question then. If the UK had a travel ban worded exactly as the one Trump has proposed, would it have stopped the attack?

I have no idea if it would have stopped it but it certainly would not have facilitated it. It definitely would have made it more difficult, and it would have presented more opportunity for it to be stopped.

When I read that the bomber was know to authorities and Libya claims to have been "on" the brother for over a month I honestly have to question if any policy could stop anything.
