My father-in-law was hospitalized last night after throwing up uncontrollably and then this afternoon his breathing and heart stopped. They were able to get get him going again, but the moment he is in ICU and intubated. He hasn't yet regained consciousness. We don't know what what the cause was yet and are praying for him to wake up perfectly ok after this.

Mrs. PM has flown home and I'll be headed out tomorrow. Please pray that her dad is ok. He is only 49 years old.

My dog - a German Shepherd/Scottish Terrier mix - was diagnosed with cancer a month ago. He had a tumor on his spleen that burst and he started bleeding internally. We noticed it because he got really bloated, so we took him in and they did emergency surgery. They removed his spleen and sent his tumor off to test for cancer, and it came back positive. The vet said that cancer would eventually spread to other organs, and it did, quicker than anticipated. Had to put him down recently and it's been tough.

People say all the time "he was more than just a dog to me" and "dogs are part of the family" but for my dog (Lee Roy), it goes even further beyond that. He was my best friend since I got him 8 years ago. I couldn't take him anywhere without getting stopped by someone who wanted to pet him or ask what kind of dog he was. My family has always had dogs and you get used to having to say goodbye, but it's been much harder for me with this one because we shared a special bond.

Prayers for this difficult time would be appreciated. I know it's not as big of a crisis as others might be going through but it still sucks.

RIP Lee Roy

I never underestimated losing a dog after our Golden passed away 5 years ago .... May his memory remind you of great times . and the fact he's not suffering will bring you peace

that said, the void and emptiness will take time to adjust to, and at the oddest times possible.

Hang in there .. consider yourself prayed for

My neighbor (and buddy) had a freak accident when bicycling today. His front wheel fell off and he went over his handlebars. He has a C1 fracture and broken collarbone. Luckily he has feelings and movement in all his limbs. He's got 4 kids, including twins in my daughters 1st grade class.

I had to put one of my dogs to sleep today and it's been hard on all of us. Ironically I think my step-daughter is handling it better than me. Gizmo lived a good life (at least 16 years) but there's that shaking sense of guilt of "she should be here right now". The poor thing was about blind, deaf, hardly could walk and likely senile because she would randomly bark for hour long increments and nothing could make her stop sometimes. But dammit she was a happy dog and she was even making her "happy face" as they injected her.

I've had many pets pass away but it took until 27 for me to finally have to put one to sleep. It's true what they say... it's hard even though it's merciful. It's gonna be hard to sleep tonight. Say a prayer for Gizmo and my family if the thought comes around.

Tough call but you know you did the right thing. We had a golden that we put down 5 years ago, and looking for the time for our doodle. Never easy for pets, they grab our heartsite, and never let it go.

One day, you will look at pictures and smile, and in the meantime know you are prayed for

My buddy and fellow student Erik had to undergo surgery for a perforation in his stomach.

My daughter came down with some sort of wicked stomach bug. Sporadic fever spikes and wicked vomiting fits.

Praying for healing, strength, and comfort for both.

I'm in a very bad way right now. I just lost my job less than a week ago and a few days ago some bugger bit my arm in my sleep. My bicep is red, hot and swollen. I went to the doctor to get it cut open and drained. I can still get some of it out but little at a time. Unfortunately I'm running a fever now and that is NOT a good thing. I'm just praying that it doesn't go septic and that's common. I can't afford a hospitalization or a potential life threatening infection. Once it gets bloodborne you're in deep trouble.

I pray that the antibiotics I got work.

Prayers for a speedy and wholesome recovery. Also, prayers for a quick turnaround in the employment department. "I can do all things, through Him..."

Is Alpha actually CSG? Anyone know how long Alpha has been here? I prefer Java all day over Alpha. Alpha is the most worthless and the most ignorant individual on this board. He has to be a teenager. Let's at least hope so, for his sake.
