Everyone knew a ton of people died there and that was covered, but that graphic is about the specific number of 4600, gotcha.

Ya.. more like:

“Hurricane Maria deaths in Puerto Rico were more than 4600, not official count of 64..”

In December we knew the 64 number was closer to 1,000+ and growing by the day.

I'm not defending the defenders or even the discussion of Roseanne. I've already cited my criticism in the TV Show thread. The Puerto Rico tragedy was a major story last year and we knew thousands had died, but we get a study where they say 4600+ died and that's not getting as much play. There's not much more to say on the issue other than it's tragic knowing a more accurately disturbing estimate. Those channels are businesses driven by ratings.

Louisiana Americans>>>Puerto Rican half Americans ?

I typed this as a joke at first, but I remembered a poll that stated around 48% of Americans didn't know Puerto Ricans were citizens. I'd have to find it, but it's not surprising if true.

Its crazy if you think about it. The media and public at large enraged about a racial slight by a fat chick comedian...

Meanwhile completely ignoring the breaking news of thousands more ‘US citizens’ dying (and many more still affected), assertedly because they’re.. well, a different race..

Honestly, I dont think most folks these days know know or care about very much unless Trump tweets about it...

Or where you dissagree with either statement.

Please.. enlighten me.

As much as I wish it were otherwise...this maxim has been around FOREVER:

"All politics is local".

Joe Shit-the-rag-man gives ZERO fucks about what's happening ANYWHERE, other than his own backyard. If it doesn't effect him personally, it just doesn't matter.

And that's a bi-partisan FACT.

Yes. Exactly. Polls are meaningless. Just ignore them and stay the course.. you guys are doing great. Lol.

That same poll just came out and is now D+8. Still think it means anything or should it just be discounted now?

I think it means just as much today as it did a week ago.

Which is even the bluest of blue waves this year will insufficient to do anything with the Mueller investigation findings unless the GOP in the senate decides to hang him out to dry.

Lol. My 'take' is exactly the same as it was last week, you dummy...

1. "That was sudden"...
2. "Nobody should be using a poll to claim any sort of victory"...
3. "Sudden and relatively significant change from what we’ve consistently seen the last year or so should be a cause for pause"...
4. "Political strategists on all sides are certainly paying attention"...
5. "Polls are meaningless. Please stay the course!"

I know there's probably a lot of straw for you to try and play with there, but let me know if you want my 'take' on anything else...

Immigration bust in Ohio at landscaping company. 110+ illegals detained. Most are also being charged on identity theft and tax evasion.

The gov’t seized documents from the company itself and is opening an investigation on them as well

A landscaping company? No way?!

Are they even allowed to hire legal residents?

The more surprising thing to me is they're actually going after the company. If the goal was truly to stop illegal immigration, they should spend more time going after the companies that hire them.

I'm 100% for punishing any firm that knowingly hires someone who is ineligible to work.

In this case it appears there might have been some operation that people stole identities and had all the proper paperwork when they applied for a job. Or maybe not, we will see.

How awesome is this...Country Time Lemonade is offering to pay the ridiculous permit fees and fines for kids who (want to) open up a good old-fashioned lemonade stand as nanny statist cities are cracking down on them

I am curious if people were in the same situation would you want to know or not? Knowing could mean you can wrap up everything you wanted to do with what you have left. Not knowing could mean that you do not let it get you down and possibly live longer because you aren't checking out mentally.
