Mandalorian Episode 3. Love baby yoda. That is all. The shows setting up to showcase the talents of the yoda creature which is awesome. Figure they’ll use the yoda as a mandolorian leader who can use force and help them against bigger targets.

Egads.

You've got like 15 movies already.

They're working their way towards 15 shows (counting cartoons and the 80s stuff.)

You could fill endless hours with "making of" shows/docs. The movies, the shows, the toys, the theme parks, etc.

You could have endless shows devoted to people talking about those things (and the novels, comic books, etc.)

They could honestly pull it off NOW. At least a bare-bones streaming version. They won't, because SW is too big a draw in getting Disney+ off the ground. But 2 years, 3 years...yeah, it could happen.

It won’t happen. BECAUSE Star Wars is huge to get Disney+ going.

Unbelievable on Netflix is a quality show.

Anyone catch the Sick Note on Netflix with Rupert Grint and the guy from Shaun of the dead that’s not Simon Pegg(only way I remember him). Cleverly funny. Good to see Rupert outside of HP too. I was impressed with Radcliffe on that TNT god show too, so HP graduates are still relevant. The show is about a touchy subject, but is comical. I’m two episodes in and would recommend thus far. Didn’t realize Netflix had such good selections.

Finished up Man In The HIgh Castle. Pretty good show. Though I felt unsatisfied in the ending.

Finished the two seasons of sick note. It’s not good but it’s not bad enough to turn off. The whole faking cancer thing is hard to imagine. People do do it though. The show is extreme. Lindsay Lohan is in the second season and she’s alright in her role. I really enjoyed parts of the show and thought it was comical. It’s British humor though. Rupert Grint isn’t compelling enough emotionally I think as well. The **** the guy is going through in the show would be like catastrophic. But again it’s a comedy.

The first two episodes were instant classics and awesome. This last one, not so much.

Spoiler:
It was a funny one time shot at all the heist movies, but not super re-watchable.

Also...regarding the season as a whole...

Spoiler:
I'm not convinced we are following Rick C137 (OG Rick). Ever since the writers somewhat confirmed that we followed an alternate Rick in Mortynight Run (Jerry Daycare/Fart episode) I've questioned it when Rick doesn't explicitly refer to himself as C137. It may or may not matter, but I'm skeptical, maybe for no reason at all.

My friend recommended Black Mirrors, so last night I caught the pilot. Anthony Mackie is a must watch for me, started to get dull after a while. The episode was really long.

Also.. the purge is alright. It’s setting up for some good action.

Finally got my password to our cable provider so I can enjoy some of the other stuff I haven’t been able to watch since my TV doesn’t have on demand.

He was so terrible in Avengers I think I refuse to watch him in anything else (Sorry PM).

I'm either assuming you didn't think he was bad as Falcon or he's better in other stuff?

I love him in Pain and Gain. Think his role
Is perfect for the other people in the movie. That being said I’m not a big superhero actor guy. They have predetermined actions. Kind of tough. Can’t add the psycho that they really would be like they are in The Boys.

Didn’t realize I had Amazon Prime until today. Started watching Jack Ryan. 2 episodes in, and spoilers here if you don’t haven’t seen yet stop reading, I like the way the portray the Solamin. His home life. How his kids hate the things he’s doing.

Finished season one of Jack Ryan. Well thought out show. Enjoyable. Not funny enough for me to say it’s a must watch. Even Dexter had dark humor.

Also watched Good Omens. Why, why, why did I watch something so religiously weird. Was entertaining at times.

My mom had ordered something and got it for free for a month so I’m taking advantage of the trial.
And I pirated the Boys. Great show though.

got thru Ep. 4 of The Mandalorian.

I was hooked after the first one, especially with the ending of the first episode. I was really curious to see where they went with that

then I watched the next 3 in a row the following night and saw that "where" they were going was a stop by the graveyard to witness the reanimation of Gina Carano's acting career amid a hail of aimless blaster shots and putty patrol stunt flips - followed by a 3 minute Last of the Mohicans in Space plot detour

it's light, it's predictable, it's James Bond in Space.

which is ok... I just won't be setting aside "movie nights" with my wife to watch episodes. more of the "it's saturday and the wife and son left to run errands for the day and I just ate a weed brownie so why not" kind of show

Yeah, I find myself less interested as I progress through each episode.

I haven't even made it through episode 4 yet, I started it but got bored watching it.

The last episode made me feel a little bit like I was watching Stargate SG1. Since I really like Stargate I was happy about that. Maybe my expectations have been tempered on it going in so I am just enjoying it more than others?

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I loved it at first. Mostly due to baby Yoda, Mandolorian culture, and the universe...

But I was on my phone through most of last episode.

I thought 4 was good. I enjoyed it. I agree that the show is a little too “safe”. I don’t feel like there’s ever any real stakes - they aren’t killing Mando or Baby Yoda. They’ve done little to introduce more characters anyone cares about.

I like the look/feel of the world(s) they’ve created.
The story is good enough.
The action is good.

But I’m a bit of a nerd for the Star Wars universe.

I think the show would have benefited, and could in the future, from longer episodes that flesh out other characters better, and maybe a little bit darker tone. 20-ish minute episodes isn’t quite cutting it.
