Great show, great acting, great pacing. Was so happy to see it picked up for a second season; as it seems Bastard Executioner died an ignominious death.

I watch 'The Defiant Ones' on HBO the past few nights. It's a 4 episode series chronciling the Jimmy Iovine/Dr. Dre history going back to how both entered the music business all the way through the Interscope years to the eventual sell of Beats by Dre to Apple.

Pretty good series for those that were fans of 90's music. Good backstories on everyone from the Beatles to Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar.

I stayed up until 4:00 am this morning watching all 4 episodes!

This was VERY well done and VERY informative and Very entertaining?

Jimmy Lovine is a beast! Dr. Dre is a beast!

After watching this I kept thinking to myself; What is my purpose, what is my gift!? I say this because I am completely in awe of persons that discover their Gift (especially at an early age), live their gift and thus live their Purpose that God created them for.

To me, Dr. Dre is the epitome of this. This dude never "works". He just lives his purpose through his gift. He can be in the studio for days and it is nothing to him. His "gift" automatically draws people to him and it allows him to make a living.
This is such a beautiful thing! I love when he said, deadlines destroys creativity!

Every human should strive to discover their gift and thus carry out their purpose in life.

Anyway, excellent documentary and I highly recommend you guys to watch this.

Watched a couple episodes of Netflix's Ozarks. Not great, but not bad. Will keep watching

So many shows die before they should, it's sometimes like TV execs only get it right by being lucky.

I wasn't watching Firefly before it got cancelled so that one didn't bother me too much. Carnivale getting cancelled early really sucked though, that was one of the best series I had ever seen.

What early deaths bug other people most?

Amazing show. Bought the DVD a few years ago and it held up incredibly well. It was just ahead of it's time. If they made it now, on FX, it'd be huge.

I wouldn't be surprised if the British version was better, but I've never seen it so I wouldn't know. I liked Harvey Kietel in the U.S. version as well as Jason O'Mara & Michael Imperioli. Gretchen Mol wasn't bad to look at either.

You know, I never thought about it that way. It would do great today. It had a great mix of humor, action, romance, and drama all wrapped into western.

It's been pretty good so far, and it looks like it's getting ready to ramp up with the introduction of crack to LA.

Organized crime members are believed to be responsible for the murder in Mexico of a producer for the Netflix series, Narcos. The producer traveled to Mexico to search for shooting locations for the upcoming season. The fourth season of the show is reported to provide an inside look at the rise of Mexican drug cartels.
Carlos Muñoz Portal traveled to that country to search for shooting locations in the state of Mexico which is located near the border with Hidalgo. Officials found his body was found inside his vehicle in the town of San Bartolo Actopan, Infobae reported. The film company issued a short statement acknowledging the filmmaker’s passing — claiming that the case was still under investigation.

The Narcos series provides a dramatized version of the historical events dealing with the drug cartels and criminal organizations responsible for most of the violence in Central and South America, and most recently in Mexico. The first two seasons of the show looked at the rise and fall of Pablo Escobar, the leader of the Cartel de Medellin. The third and most recent season provided a look at the fall of Cartel de Cali and the corruption at the highest levels of the Colombian government including that nation’s president; the U.S. Department of State was allegedly aware of the complicity. The fourth season is expected to provide an inside look at Mexican drug cartels.

The murder comes as Mexico is undergoing one of its most violent years. As cartel-violence continues to spiral out of control, government officials continue to present a different image. The once quiet central states in Mexico have became new targets for drug cartels who have come to fight for control of those locations, Breitbart Texas reported. In the nearby state of Guanajuato, corrupt police officers became prime targets as they are caught in the middle between rival cartels.

Okay.

The Oroville was originally marketed as a farce. A sci-fi spoof.

What MacFarlane has done thus far is create a sci-fi series that addresses moral and ethical dilemmas masked with his existential comedy.

It's absolutely brilliant.

Was looking for new network shows starting this season, and didn't see one I liked. Thought Orville looked like a poor man's Galaxy Quest, but maybe I'll check it out now.

Instead of a Star Trek NG sci-fi drama series, it's a Star Trek NG sci-fi comedy series using 21st century humor. I'm not sure that's brilliant, but, for me, it's effective and keeps me coming back.

I would be all over "The Orville" if not for Seth McFarlane casting himself. He's a horrible actor and he has zero charisma. "A real screen absence!" one might say.

Anyway...I'm watching "The Vietnam War" on PBS. Ten hour Ken Burns documentary. If your dad fought, or your older brother, or your uncle (you get the idea) you will understand them better by watching this.

The first two episodes have been great. I've watched a lot of documentaries on Viet Nam and I've already learned a few things I never heard before. Like De Gaulle threatening to turn France to communism if we supported Ho Chi Minh and not France.

The first couple of episodes of American Horror Story have been really good. So far, looks like the best season since Freak Show. Love that they brought back the clown from Freak Show, best clown ever.
