Subreddits we should know about

Postby Rocker » Thu Jun 28, 2018 7:31 pm

I’ll start with a few of my favorites:

r/holdmybeer

r/idiotsfightingthings

r/maliciouscompliance

What subs do you follow that we should know about, too?

For the unwashed, Reddit is the front page of the internet. It's like thousands of facebooks grouped by topic.

Each topic group is a subreddit and like minded people can gather into a subreddit for any topic you can think of and stuff you couldn't imagine.

From knitting to greek tourism to foot fetishes. Very few topics are off limits.

I use Reddit when I Google things like, "Best shoes for peloton" or "Best riding lawnmower", but I don't know how not what to navigate it otherwise.

r/oldschoolcool Old pictures of people looking cool

r/stonerengineering pretty much what you think.

r/instantbarbarians. Gifs of people going wild when something amazing happens

r/army. The army subreddit is a blend of current events, inside jokes, and old school appreciation. Great sub. I'm sure the other branches have a similar setup.

r/politicalhumor comics and memes that lead to Facebook style debates.

r/rocketleague (for Rocket League players)

r/wewantplates (pictures of food served on anything but plates, somehow one of my favorites)

r/personalfinance

r/loseit (for people who have or are trying to lose weight)

r/dataisbeautiful (data presented in beautiful ways)

r/askreddit (people ask questions and get answers)

I'm sorry but this sentence makes you sound like the most boring person on the planet.

I guess the grammatical error spices things up a little.

I don't subscribe to any of these but I see a lot of their content on r/all. r/iamverysmart is awesome. And r/subredditdrama sounds like one I need to check out.

I'm going to have to side with USC on this one.

He references his interest in exercise gear and power tools for mowing his own lawn. You say that a reddit forum dedicated to people pretending to be smart is awesome, and are now expressly interested in another one which is nothing more than a compilation of reddit people flaming other reddit people.

You then call him boring. Maybe its a "to each his own" thing.

By exercise gear...you mean an indoor exercise bike...and what shoes to wear when doing it. Riding lawnmowers are cool, but along with the grammatical error, the sentence reads like an old man struggling to use the internet (no offense, Buc2).

Speaking of lawnmowers, yes, I'll get off your lawn.

Duece is still salty with me that I didn't agree with him on a landlord issue.

I made a grammatical mistake posting on my phone late at night and was using boring examples intentionally to show how I use reddit. You can't please everyone.

edit: I'm aware that 10:15 is not late for most.

same here. it's a confusing site to me with the layout and ranking of threads/comments.. not to mention I feel like there is just too much going on.. it's like a Sonic Menu.. too many damn options.
