I thought it sucked. Easily the worst SW movie I've seen.

Is that the one where Captain Spork saves Battlestar Galactica from Dark Vader?

No it’s the one where I farted in ur moms face

Appreciate the feedback.

The acting has always been bad in SW movies (and sci-fi in general for the most part) but atleast the previous renditions had a strong leads where as this version lacks the quality that people like Harrison Ford, Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor provided. I like Daisy Ridley's character but they've failed with her backstory thus far. Kylo Ren is a very unconvincing villain/anti-hero.

When I say it sucked, that is in comparison to other SW movies. Phantom Menace wasn't great either, but Ewan and Liam carried that movie and the villain was bad ass. I honestly liked Rogue One better than The Last Jedi. But I'm committed at this point as will buy the blueray to add to the SW collection. Just let down by the characters and story telling in this latest SW trilogy thus far.

Just rewatched The Negotiator. Recent happenings with Kevin Spacey dampen it a bit, but definitely a very underrated flick- though the first half hour is a bit of a mess before the cool stuff starts.

That's my take on Spacey as well. Dude might deserve some cell time but he was great at his job. I am not going to stop liking Usual Suspects or Seven because Spacey sucks.

I never really liked Lost Boys. I saw Near Dark first and it made Lost Boys looks like weak tea.

The thing about Spacey was he sure knew how to pick his roles... Usual Suspects... Seven... Glengarry Glen Ross... American Beauty... amazing resume.

Agree though, what he's done shouldn't impact your enjoyment of his films... but does dampen them a bit, if only from a conversational standpoint. I'm actually on a bit of a Kevin Spacey binge lol not purposefully, but his films have been getting heavy rotation on Hollywood Suites (perhaps because their rights are cheaper now?)

Watched "A Time to Kill" last night. I can never figure out which Spacey movie is best once I watch this one.

He has made so many good movies. If I had to pick my favorites it would be Swimming with Sharks and American Beauty.

Woke up this morning to Mel Gibson playing Hamlet.

Always liked that version but it could use remastered.

One of my favorite Neo-Shakespeare flicks.

Just watched Michael Fassbender as MacBeth. It fell through the cracks, but it's worth seeing.

Noice. I need to see that before mine eyes deceive me and shudder under coucil so wicked as to besmirch one's words until they lay petty and cheap against God's wisdom to say such words but betray their very meaning.

How wretched is the one who lays words upon my ears so scatterly as to challenge the mind to hear it so? Loquatiousness, thy name is Shakespeare.

I just got a mental image of MDB trying to write out Shakespeare from memory. It's never going to go away.

Watched another one that isn't the type of thing I'd normally watch, Snowpiercer. 95% on rotten tomatoes. It was terrible.

Agreed. I was really looking forward to it - I'm a big fan of dystopian/political/allegorical kinds of stories and love seeing alternate realities fleshed out. This got resoundingly positive reviews, so I was really hyped. Movie sucked balls. Shallow. Cheesy. Predictable.

This. The movie started out interesting, but went nowhere. Like BMD I like a good dystopian flick, but it needs to have a point and a destination and Snowpiercer had neither. I don’t know it is 95% on RT.

Watched Jumanji with my granddaughter. We both enjoyed it and got some good laughs. I really expected Jack Black's character was going to be totally stupid and inappropriate for this film, but I was pleasantly surprised. He wasn't at all over the top as I expected he would be. Overall, a good job by the cast and well directed.

I had the privilege of meeting Dr. Adams in the late 80s at a function in DC. He's a great character and it is one of Robin's best roles.

I need to queue that one up
