Saw Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom tonight...

Fun, popcorn movie...1st one was much better imo....

It was like a watered down "Lost World" with less dinosaurs/dinosaur action and no life saving gymnastics...

I was afraid of this.. the JP series dropped significantly after 1, mainly due to once you see a dino, you're kind of over it.

JW was better than I thought it was going to be. But these movies at $15+ and then popcorn, etc need to rock the house (see IW and Solo for examples).

I'll catch this on a extended trip in Oct

I often wait for them to move to the discount theaters.

Incredibles 2 was pretty decent. I laughed out loud a few times.

Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom had more plot holes than Indepedence Day and a dumber twist
Spoiler:
the little girl being a clone - who cares?
than M. Night Shamylan could ever dream of. The first one was a perfectly acceptable loaf of chunked and formed summer cinema product. This one was Battleship-level bad IMHO.

Agree on this.

Plot twist sucked. Ending sucked. And hardly ever really give a **** about 'Blue' for that matter.

Total money grab on this one.

If I knew Kevin Smith directed Zach and Miri make a porno, I would have saw it a lot sooner.

I think that might be the best of the late-period Kevin Smith films, which is damning it with faint praise. But it was funny.

The Justin Long reunion scene was gold.

That is precisely the gravelly, monotone voice you'd expect from a gay porn star.

In the post credits scene, Brandon Routh was fighting to stay in character.

Ready Player One, the movie, is the Tim Wansley of screen adaptations.

Supremely disappointed with the direction they took.

2000's M. Night Shyamalan directed, Unbreakable, with Bruce Willis & Samuel L. Jackson. Not sure how I missed seeing this one back when it came out. I think Jackson's depiction of Elijah Price, aka Mr. Glass was one of his best performances. I thought Willis could have done better. His portrayal as the sullen, antihero just didn't fit him in this Shyamalan screenplay/film. I think someone like Christian Bale or Liam Neeson would have come off much better. It was a excellent screenplay. Maybe one of Shyamalan's best imo. Overall, I still give it a solid 6.5-7.0. A better protagonist could have easily bumped this up to an 8+.

Been on a roll lately...

Tag- was pretty fun. I wasn't expecting much but I really did like it.
Jurassic World- turn your brain off and enjoy the ride. Pretty brutal at some points. Don't go in expecting anything realistic.
Ant-Man and the Wasp...technically I was in the theater but I slept through most of it. It was right after a big meal plus an 11:00 showing. The post-credits scene was what I went for anyway.

Also watched Children of Men the other day. I love that movie and feel the need to watch it every couple of years.

Skyscraper - Fun action film. The Rock played an amputee well. That guy was born to be an action star. One of the better pure action flicks I’ve watched in a while.

Jurassic World - Just did not like it. It’s an ASPCA ad on steroids. The “Save the Dinosaurs/Animals” message was pushed to the point of being annoying AF.

The Incredibles - Fun family flick. Not better than the original, but wifey and I enjoyed ourselves.

Ant Man & The Wasp - Absolutely worse than the original. I’m a huge Marvel fan so I’m biased towards their films. My opinion is in the minority, but this was a boring film. The villain was poorly developed and the main cast didn’t have the chemistry they had in the first movie. I rarely laughed during this one and fought to stay engaged throughout.

Took my son to see it because he really wanted to go. If I had to do it over again I would not spend money on it. But it pulled in over $100 mil opening weekend and is over $300 mil domestic. And because of that, they'll keep trotting out crappy superhero movies nonstop.

But he's not an amputee and therefore that role should've gone to an amputee actor.

Dwayne Johnson doesn't care about disenfranchised groups!!!

Most of Marvel’s movies are pretty damn good. This one is an exception.

Baby Driver

This movie I honestly thought was a child comedy. Thus I watched it with absolutely no expectations.

But once I state watching it, I immediately paid close attention after I saw Kevin Spacey (despite his transgressions, he is one of the best actors of our generaton).

This movie was highly entertaining, action packed, and with an interesting story line. Jamie Fox played the bad guy roll very well and Jon Hamms character was very good for the movie. Oh, and the guy who played the main character also did a good job!

I highly recommend this movie.

Can't sleep so I just watched Collateral.

The one where Jamie Foxx is driving hitman Tom Cruise around in a cab. I remember seeing the ad for it back in the day and never caught it till tonight.

Beautifully shot and watches like a paperback novel. Foxx and Cruise were excellent. Great cast all around.

Right after I posted that I googled the song playing during the nightclub shootout scene.
