My youngest daughter started CrossFit training about 10 months ago at a CrossFit program located in Tampa. Yesterday, she shared this before & after photo and I wanted to share it with you guys because I consider you my Internet family and I need to show her off somewhere. :D I'm really happy for her and proud of her accomplishment.

The photo on the left was from Dec. 2017. The one on the right was taken yesterday.

The year of LOW extends to all fam.

Great to see her change Buc2.

Also great to see your support. That's very important for a daughter to see from a dad.

The doctors said you need about 3 weeks of recovery? But the nurses are loving you?

That’s exactly how it went. You must have done this before.

Glad to hear you are on healing ... was it an attach? My wife has small issues, and watches a lot of what she eats to make sure ..

Regardless, take it easy this weekend, and enjoy the LOW healing vibes

Peace

I don’t know what you mean by attach. I’m not familiar with the terminology. It was gallstones bringing more pain than I’ve felt before and pancreatitis that lead to the removal.

My wife has had two different friends who had to have emergency gallbladder removals due to intense pain attacks.

Glad that wasn't you !

No. He must have been talking to MB because if he were talking to me, he'd have said, deplorables.

Don't think bird/poultry. Cook it like you would a steak. On the grill medium rare is just fine and dandy.

Will sous vide at 131°and then sear on a blazing hot grill or pan, depending on how the weather holds up. Will post pics of the final product later.

Ostrich sous vide at 131* for 3 hours, then seared in a cast iron. Fingerling potatoes oven roasted in a cast iron. Carrots and golden beets done sous vide at 185* with butter, honey, salt. Then oven roared for a few minutes to reduce the liquid. And the mushrooms (I forget what kind) done with some butter and garlic in the pan I seared the steaks in. All paired with Stags Leap cab.

It was really good. Like a leaner filet mignon. No gamey taste at all. Super tender.

It's good. I like it as a burger.

As far as gaminess... I like it, but I also have 72 lbs of deer in my freezer.

Got a bag of “ghost pepper flavored” peanuts from 7-11 to munch on.

Motherfucker - the second ingredient is dried ghost peppers. I’m sweating and my sinuses are draining.
