Dubliner is the way to go. It even has those strange little crystals in it when you bite into it.

I use that one when I make cheddar and Danish Bacon sandwiches with lettuce and cucumber in a warm, crunchy baguette

Is Florida getting slammed with the flu? Nebraska is. I've been less than 100% for 10 days now. Usually less than 50%. It's why I'm barely posting - I don't have the energy to argue on the internet. I'd love to take a day off work, but what's the damn point when you're just going to still feel like crap when you come back?

Anybody else right there?

Not sure about Florida but Alabama is getting hit hard. My sister is an RN in the Birmingham area and she's been posting about it frequently. Maybe we have been spared because we've all been cowering inside due to the frigid weather.

In Texas they were talking on the news about how the current strain of flu is killing otherwise healthy people. If you've been down for that long you need to get your butt to the doctor.

Sonofabitch. That sounds awesome. Replace the baguette with a toasted French bun, and we might have to get married.

Thank you for the concern. I was close, but TBH I feel better the last 24 hours than I have since last Monday. If that continues I'll consider myself lucky. But it seems like everybody I know has danced with this bug. My husband didn't get it as bad as I did, but he was down for awhile. I think all of my coworkers have missed time in the last few weeks. Thankfully the flu shots my kids got seem to be holding up. That's really all that matters. I can't remember a bug like this, where it just sucked the life out of you. At one point I held my pee for like 12 hours because I didn't have a way to get to the potty. Bad flu.

LOL. Been there. It was just impossible to stand up. And even if I did, I probably wouldn't have hit the toilet. I guess you don't have that contingency, given the sit to pee thing, but still. The staggering there part is the pain. But how magnificent when you make it back to your bed and flop? Greatest feeling ever.

Glad to hear you're feeling better.

Real men aim for the bathtub if they have to pee while going poo.

Then hang a non stick pan at the magic point on the wall and practice your bank shot. Man up!

Off the mirror, across the vanity, glance the shower door, and bank in! Just avoiding the toothbrush..... That's key. Hitting the toothbrush messes up the whole thing.

Yeah, hitting the toothbrush would cause a sprinkler effect. Not good at all. That and, you know, the fact that it's your toothbrush.

Easiest college course. Research and writing. Those just come naturally to me.
Hardest college course Political science. I hated that ****. Although it might have been more about the professor teaching it. He was a super liberal freak that put a crazy spin on everything. And he had this huge beard which might have had squirrels living in it. I just couldn't engage. But his material sucked, and the topics were aweful. I hated that class.

Sticking with undergrad courses

Favorite college course - Intro to Business. It was my first ever class and I was super jazzed to be there.
Least favorite college course - American Literature 1. Nothing but Hawthorne and Puritan sermons for half a semester.
Most useful college course - Principles of accounting 1 and 2. Use it every day.
Easiest college course - American National Government. I could have taught that course.
Hardest college course - High level accounting courses were brutal but Biology 101 was by far the hardest 100 level course I ever took. Holy smokes that memorization wore me out.

Favorite college course - 4000 Issues in Environmental Science. Great hippie teacher - that class is the reason I went on to grad school
Least favorite college course - All 3 statistics classes I took. My brain just hated it. At the time, didn't get wtf we were trying to do or say or how it applied, or wtf the point was. I'll admit I was also very lazy in those classes, and not one professor spoke fluent english... Just wasn't my thing though. Wish I cared more at the time b/c I feel like its a big weakness in my education.
Most useful college course - 5000 Chemical Oceanography / Environmental Modeling. Finally made math fun and tangible - helped flip the switch for my brain to really understand spatial-temporal scales/rates/residence times/cycles; see every day life as tangible equations. Was really the most mind-expanding course I ever took in college. Helpful in all aspects of understanding life, politics, etc - use it at my job every day
Easiest college course - 4000 National Parks. You picked a park, and gave a presentation on it at some point in the semester. And watched other people give theirs throughout the semester. lol looking back.
Hardest college course - 1000 Pre-Calc. Was an 8am class, my first summer semester there. Wasn't ready for college-style work. Got raped. Got a D, tanked my GPA to start college.

you, zarni?
