We never do. We'll roast a whole chicken, have RARELY been known to cook a turkey breast, but never a turkey. Why is that?

I put a Turkey breast in the smoker a couple of months ago.

Probably time to take it out, huh?

Hmm. Then I'm not sure who's party I was at yesterday. No wonder everyone acted like they didn't know me.

There was a discussion in Politics/Religion about the entire media turning its attention to illegal immigration, particularly the families, right at once.

Similarly, everyone is suddenly on this plastic straw thing. I've seen a bunch of news stories about countries banning them, how they are polluting the oceans, we even have a group in Tallahassee created just for people to refuse plastic straws.

I know people joke about "sheep" all the time but it's astounding. How was this not an issue over the past 20 years or whatever and suddenly everyone is all about it?

Funny, I just commented to the wife last night - as we were watching the news dedicate about 2 minutes of primetime air to a story about how Starbucks is phasing out plastic straws - about how much it must SUCK right now if you owned a straw business, or held a patent, or whatever. Talk about going in the tank overnight.

Not at all, just was making the point that special interests flood lawmakers and influencers with cash via lobbying/bribes to coerce certain opinions that are financially beneficial (i.e. Doctors recommending cigarettes once upon a time, or that asbestos was not harmful).

It's only until the science is undeniable and/or society catches onto the con that **** changes.

Single use plastics should be minimized at all cost and eventually eliminated. This is an area America lags behind and one the environmental changes that can be easily addressed with minimal (if any) inconvenience imo.

Ok. I'm all for eliminating them and get that it's not a new phenomenon (Buc2), but my comment was more just about the sudden flood of interest in plastic straws.

Internet is down at work so I'm building my big board spreadsheet today.

My thoughts on what's going on around the board today:

TD: Jameis needs to have a big year
CD: will email the final spreadsheet to whoever wants a copy.
OS: IDC about Lebron to the Lakers
OT:bewbs
PD: stop calling me a socialist.
LOW: I win.
