At another point, the Catholic Church was one of the leaders in supporting the works of scientists. After the end of Rome as a major power, the church stepped in and established a number of universities and scientific centers. In those days, it was men like Friar Roger Bacon that established what would become the modern scientific method. That legacy is carried on in the Catholic schools and universities of today, like Notre Dame, Georgetown and Boston College.

I'm not arguing against that either. Somehow I thinks it's possible for a millennia old organization to have done both great and shitty things during its existence.

Saints (NFL) and Pelicans (NBA) owner Tom Benson dead at 90. I'll always remember him for dancing after Saints wins back in the 80's.

Not be shitty, but the same guy who prematurely celebrated a game winning kick that missed.

Man...just goes to show you never know if today is the last day you'll be alive. Something we all do almost every day and never dream that something like this would our ticket to the grave.

This is something right out of Final Fantasy. Grim can be cruel for sure.

Toys R Us announces they're dead, and then their founder Charles Lazarus passes a week later. He was 94, and so far doesn't appear to be as lucky as his famous ancestor.

Speaking of resurrections, I thought, according to some interpretations of Revelations, the 2nd coming of Christ should have already happened and that he's here on earth already? Anyone heard of any immaculate conceptions happening over the past few years?

Most people don't even know what an immaculate conception is, so I doubt it.

Damn kids. Back in the day, you had to survive the ground in two feet of snow, barefoot, and going uphill both ways. All you care about nowadays are one-handed highlight reel "catches."

lol

Funny think about Blockbuster is that Netflix actually pitched their idea to them and were told no, that won't work. I tell the story of Blockbuster and digital transformation atleast once a week to different prospects. Buy my **** or you'll end up like Blockbuster!

Harry Anderson was a throwback to vaudeville comedy. He juggled and did magic tricks in addition to jokes.

Night court was a great show.
