they say eating blueberries help the mind so it stays in focus.. fresh blueberries are so expensive, I wonder if blueberry pancakes , jelly, or blue berry pie would do the job also. blueberry juice ? a glass of blueberry juice would more than keep the mind working , it in my case keep the poops flowing . lol

No word if Boo Berry cereal is now on the shopping list.

Terry has had enough summer for one summer...

ITS so hot. another day stuck in the house. come on season, give us a break. if this is another way for me to clean my closets or fridge . FORGET IT! I have my principles! on the news I have heard , some peoples homes are so hot , some cant run their air conditioners , fearing the cost at the end of the month , some are not working at all, the older homes are getting hit hard , no proper insulation within the walls , and ceilings, some seniors are deciding who to pay. ? pay the light bill or pay their meds bills , just letting their fans run. ( a family died in their home because it was like a oven baking in their home). both are getting hit hard , some are risking their health all because of this heat, this heat is also making younger married couples and their families be stressful with each other, not sleeping enough etc.. we who always have left our air on at 79 is having to keep it on 76. and fans running 24 /7. and we have been used to the heat, not this season! darn it! I am ready for the season to end , though I know we have 2 more months. hopely come sept , it starts to cool off , then we just have our annual storms to deal with.

If my thermostat was set to 79, I would be livid.

Terry on the great danger for family life...

The great danger for family life, in the midst of any society whose idols are pleasure, comfort and independence, lies in the fact that people close their hearts and become selfish.”

Remember kids, happiness and contentment are selfish and the quickest way way to break up a family.

Edit: I think she's quoting her husband here.

Terry on living the dream...

yes dave and I are living the goal/ dream we set in motion years ago , we are happy with what we have been blessed with and have. our family of 5 kids and our 12 grandchildren are all healthy, wise, and safe . Some senior folks have more and some senior folks have less, some seniors are happy, some seniors are not. Everybody , before your seniors has a choice to be still valued within themselves in this world. don't abuse the body. mind , the adventures , and the goals before the senior years , that is the key to survival . now if this darn rain and hot weather can go away , our season is just around the corner . I hope? we can get back to fishing , biking , and hubby can play golf up at the 5th wheel. I am tired of doing housework on the weekends..

From last week.

Terry on the White House being a dump...
oh for peeks sake! many of presidents families redo the white house. if the air conditioner was 30 years old , it was costing more $ to run. and it can make people sick from mold, rusting , rats living in walls, roaches, etc.. if the prior presidents knew it was not energy valued , shame on them , for not reporting it anyway and getting it fixed. if they did report it , shame on the departments for ignoring the upgrade. next the media will be complaining about the short bathroom toilets and trump can do his dump in them just fine. they still work. though if the white house has still the short sitting toilets , have you ever sat on a short sitting toilet ? dam awkward sitting and getting up. shame on them , they not water valued. and another waste of taxpayers $. this just says if the senators have been there 30 years , they are costing taxpayers $ also.! So why not replace them. so just maybe the saying if it still works , ? should not apply.? its our country's home, 100% taxpayers own it. , it should not be a slumlord home for living.

Short sitting toilets = Ghetto life.

That's a year longer than I've been away. I'm pretty much locked in to staying where I am at this point. I don't see a move to Florida in my future anymore. For about 6 or 7 years, moving back is what I kept saying I wanted to do. Now into year 12, I think I'm good.

The way MB's MIL was talking, I thought the apocolypse was upon them. Considering summer is, like, 9 months long down there, you'd think they'd be used to it by now. I lived down there 30 years and rarely, if ever, bitched about the heat. I only bitched when it got below 50. heh

Terry on the goings on at NFL games yesterday....

Pampered idiots.! they all need a cut in pay! its time we close another checkbook that taxpayers pay for their perks. like the places we build in our communities ect!

I actually agree with her that teams should be building their own stadiums.

many of military gave their lives for them . show respect! being of a military family who served thes idiots have no clue what real freedom is in this our country. life of our freedom is not always a given to be thrown away like garbage to the curb! My inner mother in me wants to spank their asses.

Trying to picture Terry giving Gerald McCoy a spanking.

Terry on the 2% increase to social security benefits that was announced yesterday.

oh my , what will we do with the 20-25$ increase? crumbs once again! while they in DC get a heftier pay raise! when we get a cost of living raise, the monthly bills go up . like water, lites , food. health insurances, phone, and yes the internet costs. this is not fooling me with the con job. this comes out to about 50- 75 cents a day for most seniors cost of living increase. ! can I call them scrooges in DC? too late , just did! lol!

To which my half-drunken ass replied....

This is what you voted for. Now quit whining and eat your crumbs.

Terry didn't like that.

MB we were eating crumbs before this president. Seniors are no longer a assets.so much selfishness.greed .and a me me .concept of living .its my life. Throwing crumbs ? Future gens won't have a clue .Can't blame it on politics alone.

its not about a political party anymore, . there will always be con artists math mathics $ to squezze from the seniors . like I have said seniors are disposable property, no longer a asset. I saw this coming way before I became a senior.

I think she just described the weaponization of math.

oh well I have decided I will put 50cents a day in our blind trust behind where no one can see it. lol! our piggy bank behind the closed door . lol! I guess our kids will reap the treasure when the time comes . , though I expect there will be enough there to pay for 2 urns , and creamation. lol.

I ain't boxing all that stuff up.

Then I went full Corsair.

Terry. Republicans own the white house, both houses of Congress, a majority on the supreme court, most governorships, and most state legislatures. You are getting exactly what you voted for.

She had a circle-jerk going with some facebook friends so for now I get the last word.
