Stopped off at Total Wine for some Rekorderling. They had a bottle of bourbon on sale/promo called Two Stars.

That’s about what I’d give it. At least I’ve got something somewhere between paint stripper and decent hooch for Irish coffee, should the mood strike.

Run to the store and grab some bitters, some simple syrup, an orange, and a jar maraschino cherries.

Make some old fashioned-s to cover up the less than stellar whiskey.

Another option is to drop some mint leaves in there for juleps.

Use Luxardo.

ETA: or if you are going to use regular sugar bomb cherries, dump out all the liquid and refill it with the bourbon.

Coronas tonight. Got Sailor Jerry on standby.

A lime in some spiced rum on the rocks is a wonderful thing. Cuba libre sans coke.

Almanac Necarine Cobbler is fantastic. I also have Vanilla Cherry Dog patch, ballast point high west barrel aged victory at sea, the new Systema Natvrae 6th edition, BridSong Rhubarb sour, and 10 barrel brewing Cucumber Sour. Super sour drunk ahead

we still on to cuddle later?

Having a Yuengling out of the office keg before I head out. Watching my carbs so I think I'll be doing the Bud select or Michelob Ultra route tonight.

I also have the makings of margaritas (I squeeze my own limes) Anybody use Sauza as their tequila?

Pity Mojitos are carbohydrate bombs. Any low carb suggestions for my bottle of cheap white rum? Maybe just pile on the rocks mint and lime and let er rip?

I love Mojitos, but almost never get a good one.

We can absolutely cuddle. Normally around 11 pm, when I'm real drunk I throw on a Rick and Morty episode. I'll save you a spot on the couch.

Tonight I have two growlers of Prarie's deconstructed Bomb, one coffee and one vanilla. Someone gave them to me. I love the Bomb, but deconstructed bomb is just a stout with a single flavor....not a huge fan.

Usually never have anything but stuff to make one kind of drink around but due to family and friend visits lately I have:

Gin & Tonic stuff
Amaretto Sour stuff
Bloody Mary stuff
Homemade Raspberry Pie Moonshine from Wisconsin
Jameson Whiskey
Fireball
Jackson Morgan Peppermint Mocha Cream

It's overwhelming trying to choose.

Save the Jameson for tomorrow. If you don't like it neat or on the rocks, put a little ginger ale in it.

Smithwicks. I'm getting in to the spirit. And by that I mean preparing myself to spend tomorrow with family I can't stand.

A buddy of mine brews his own. I only get it in small batches, but he's damned talented so it's always a treat.

Two of my favorite beers ever are his: an APA he made a few years ago that I've been begging him to do again. This season he has a NE IPA in the lineup (its hazy, sorry NFBF, agree to disagree -- I believe you're the one that has a gripe with that). It is fan-fucking-tastic. One of the smoothest and tastiest beers I've ever had. He just dropped me off a couple more deuces of that, a quart of his latest Cascade Winter IPA, and two pints of a porter.

I had the porter tonight, and while it wasn't my favorite it was pretty tasty. I probably could have poured it better, but I felt it had a bit too much of a carbon bite. It was smooth sailing after letting it sit for a little.

I'd have ordered that, too. I'm also intrigued by (and typically enjoy) spicy things that "shouldn't be spicy."

Now please tell me about the Hot Carlos. Unless it was a Spring Break fling or something, in which case you can hold onto that story... actually nah, the floor is yous:

Arkane is good. Rapp, right off Bryan Dairy, is top notch. If it's still there.
