Had a real busy week and just too much of a cheap ass tonight.

Miller High life. Maybe I'll drop a lime in one to make it fancy.

17th wedding anniversary tomorrow. Reckon we'll celebrate with something classy. Maybe make her some cosmopolitans.

Now? PBR; because I'm on the road and keeping it cheap.

With dinner? Whatever this sushi joint has to offer.

After? Probably the Dogfish Sour Session or B&R briny gose.

Had a couple Big Storm Oktoberfest Märzens earlier. Now I'm working on a self-produced glass of whiskey.

An unfiltered IPA? Wonder where that style was invented...

Got any recommendations for a brewery near the falls? Or if not a brewery, a good beer bar / store?

The Canadian side of the falls is like a ghetto Las Vegas, doubt there's much quality of anything there. But if you like unfiltered IPAs, boneshaker is a must. Not a fan of the rest of Amsterdams beers, their blonde is undrinkable, but boneshaker is excellent.

I purchased a few small, charred white oak barrels and brought them to the hunting property/farm and made some mash and distilled it, then I put it in the barrels. It's around 3 years old now and it's getting really nice. You have to cut it though, as it's still probably 120 to 140 proof out of the barrel.

My boss has a 17 year old scotch someone left in his office. I'm hoping to get a swig of it.

The only thing keeping me from pounding it is the copious amounts of other liquor, and the 500ish or so bottle wine room we have up there.

Boss is in town from the UK and it's my singular goal in life to get a swig of that 17 year old scotch in his office that I've been carrying on about.
