Ask McFan

Postby McFan » Tue May 09, 2017 11:59 am

I did this a long while ago and it was a blast...

This topic area will be for you to submit your questions to me for a fair, impartial, erudite where possible, humorous or deep thought provoking response.

If its stupid or not worthy of a response or worse, banal humor attempts (read: Slim) in the form of questions will be picked apart like a fresh carcass at a hyena convention.

Once I get bored (probably quickly) or if there are no questions, (highly doubt there will, crematoriums have more life than this joint).. I'll gladly remove this thread..

OK, you may now ASK McFAN....

First example of banal humor.

A reference that I'm as old as Adam and Eve.... (insert Sheldon Cooper snort here)

The older posters came up with it since my original name was Brian Mc - fan since 76.

The irony of the whole thing is I was only a Bucs fan for a short time because I liked the orange creamsicle uniforms. I've been a life long JETS fan since 1964 because my Dad liked the Bills and that was the big rivalry. I kind of adopted the Bucs because they were so bad in the beginning and I thought they needed more fans.

Thanks for the excellent question DN. You're a keeper.

Why do tourists go to the tops of tall buildings and put money in a telescope to see things on the ground?

Also, what level of importance does a person need to achieve in order to be considered "assassinated" instead of just "killed"?

What abstraction do you value in life more than any other thing, and why? By "abstraction," I mean for you to exclude the obvious things like tangible goods, any wife you may have somehow acquired and things of that nature. For instance, I think "experiences" is a perfectly good answer.

Why do people point to their wrist when asking for the time, but people don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

Assassination is the murder of a prominent person, often a political leader or ruler, usually for political reasons or payment. An assassination may be prompted by religious, political, or military motives; it is an act that may be done for financial gain, to avenge a grievance, from a desire to acquire fame or notoriety, or because of a military, security or insurgent group's command to carry out the homicide.

That would be considered crude. But it was hysterical when my Uncle Barney used to do it prior to soiling himself..

Also, I'm going to assume this is your coy way of telling me that you value the feeling of dopamine releasing in your brain above all else. You're probably not alone.

See my answer to lach exactly six spots above this one.

By the way, your attempt to ask an educated question fell flat due to your lack of a properly placed modifier. Reconstruct the question, and I'll retort..

Five times doesn't constitute what I would consider "a lot".

I have another question. Does bootz's question even mean anything, or has he simply been hitting the thesaurus a bit too hard again because you said the word erudite?

Edit: Never mind. Your ninja edit has me covered.

Which Super Bowl win did you enjoy more? Which team do you see winning next? And which team will you be rooting for when they face off this year?
