Disagree. He was born to play that role.

I agree with MB. Liotta did a great job with that role. I think he's been pretty much underrated throughout much of his Hollywood career. He's great at playing characters with intense, over-the-top personalities.

I think I'm biased in that I simply don't like him as an actor.

I can't even pinpoint why....I just don't think he's that good.

He has always come off stiff and one dimensional....mind you one dimensional isn't always bad....i like plenty of one dimensional actors -- Reeves, Costner, etc...while I don't think they are good actors, I don't dislike them like I do Liotta

who knows, maybe he banged my sister and subconsciously i found out about it and have hidden it in the dark recessed of my heart

He's definitely one dimensional. Even when he plays a good guy, like in Field of Dreams, he comes across with an intense personality. For the most part, the roles he's played has fit his style I think. If you are in charge of casting, you have to be aware of the type of character he plays because he can't change to fit a role. The role has to fit him or it won't work.

And great in everything. One of the finest character actors ever. The only reason I'm not sad is because I thought he died awhile ago TBH. He's looked ready to go since "Pretty In Pink" or so.

So Bobby passed. God it was tough seeing him go out. Damn shame he was so sick and withered in his last years. RIP to one of the greatest men the wrestling world ever knew. When he and Gorilla see each other again it's gonna be havoc and fuckery. I'll be making a toast in his honor.

Easily a GOAT heel. Top 5 ever

Yup. As a kid. I HATED Bobby Heenan. Which means he did his job masterfully. He drew heat like nobody else could. A legend in the business.

TMZ 5 minutes ago.

Tom Petty was taken to a hospital Sunday night after he was found unconscious and not breathing, TMZ reports.

The 66-year-old singer and songwriter was rushed to the UCLA Santa Monica Hospital from his Malibu home, suffering from a heart attack, according to TMZ. He was placed on life support but has been removed after he had no brain activity, TMZ reports.

R.I.P. :(

Weird. I've been listening to David Spade's audiobook version of his "David Spade is Almost Interesting." In it, he describes his adoration for Tom Petty (which is why he impersonated him early in his career). His interactions with Petty made Petty sound like a genuinely cool dude. There was one point where, in trying to write an SNL skit that would stick, he approached Petty and told him he impersonates him and thought it'd be cool if they sang together, both as Tom Petty. Petty agreed to it and Spade expected Tom to take control of the song. So when Spade opened up, Petty did backup vocals. As they were cutting to commercials, Petty told Spade to keep going and Petty let Spade shine while he just did backup. Pretty awesome moment for Spade.

RIP indeed . .. there are so many cool stories about him here in Gainesville. How he used to show up at 8 Seconds (bar) and just play, or walk into KMart at 2 AM, and talk with cashiers.

He was tired, and 66 is really young.

RIP .. may your next session with Roy Orbison and George Harrison be great !

This just felt like a kick in the gut. I hadn't seen it anywhere else. Arrrrgh and you know what so many of these deaths happen, and substance abuse/addiction in the teens and 20s and for some 30s and 40s. Addiciton is an insidious insidious insidious disease.

It doesn't look good, but at the moment there appears to be conflicting reports of his condition, i.e. he may or may not have died.
