Evans has been talking about being down with Cap for a long time as his contract always ended after the 3 solo films and the 2 part IW Avengers flicks.

It doesn't necessarily mean he dies in the next film, but it might. That rumor has been out there for awhile and there is the storyline in the comics as well.

His contract is up and...well....

Spoiler:
He obviously dies.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that Sebastian Stan signed a 9 picture deal, has only appeared in 4 movies including Avengers 4, and that deal doesn't include the 1st Captain America or his 2 cameos in Ant-Man and Black Panther.

I think it will follow the arc of the comics. I said that when he signed the deal.

I think that's what you are getting at.

Venom was a lot of fun. Anyone get a chance to see it?

That's refreshing. I love Venom... and enjoy Tom Hardy... and was hype at the announcement... and remained optimistic when they said no Spidey... and enjoyed the first Venom-less trailer... and then the next trailer that was over-compensating for the first one... and THEN I thought the later, longer trailers made it seem like this was destined to be a stinker.

Thanks for going on that journey with me.

Oh, and my 8 year old son wants to see it. They scrapped the R-rating, so how's it going to be for him?

I do not like him. He looks more like a guy who lived with Derek Zoolander than a Superhero.

Didn't love Evans, either.

Do any of you nerds know if Falcon ever gets to be Captain America? I like him.

I strongly suspect this is going to be a generic PG13 superhero movie meant to make it's money back opening weekend and then be forgotten about forever.

If I'm right and Harrelson is Carnage...and they're putting Carnage in a PG13 movie...there's no way they care about the property enough for this to be anything but crap.

To be fair, this was an easy one to call.

The next one I'll probably get out to see is Hellboy. I can't imagine going to see the Animated Spider-Man in the theatre, and Aquaman is going to be terrible.

I thought Aquaman’s preview looked decent. I’m looking forward to it.

I want to see Joaquin Phoenix in that Joker origins movie. That'll be good- Phoenix hasn't touched anything bad in his career as far as I can tell. One of those actors whose mere presence legitimizes a film.

You were never really here wasn't good. I'm sure some of his other indie films were bad, too...

I thought it was solid, but probably wouldn't have been with another actor...

I'm not sure. Probably what Suicide Squad should've been I guess?? Probably not the best comparison but I liked it. Oh and there is a mid-credit scene that's pretty cool as well. answers a previously discussed matter.

Saw Venom today. Decent movie, despite the RT score. I wouldn't worry about the PG13 rating either...even with the rating, there's a lot of violent scenes and a lot of people that get their heads eaten. The final fight was pretty entertaining as well, though a bit shorter than it could've been. Could've done without the forced romance plot though. It's not the classic Marvel movie that we're used to, and we'll probably forget about it in a couple years, but for now...it's a good 2 hours of chaotic fun. Assuming you can not be a critic.

I actually liked how they did Venom though. They didn't make him a pure emo evil douchebag like Spider-Man 3 did. Instead, they didn't make him evil(I guess he was at first though) but someone that is chaotic and crude, but knows which side he wants to fight for(Which really is what Venom is like as he's one of the few members of the Rouge Gallery that will actually switch sides and fight with Spiderman in certain cases). Not really sure how I feel about what they made him at the end though.

Honestly, not really. There's a mention in the early parts about how he failed in NYC because of a Daily Globe scandal but I don't think much is referenced beyond that.

I might actually go see that Spiderverse movie. That animation for it looks amazing.
