I thought they were going to loosely connect Spider-Man to this film.

I've heard/read numerous rumors ranging from Spidey not being involved at all up to a Spidey character chameo....

Think it's all up in the air until the proof is in the pudding....

Nice work, ***holes

Yeah I was looking forward to more Leto as Joker ..

These retro reboots aren't working ...

Meanwhile .... MCU has Venom coming out so .. there's that

That's not MCU. That's some Sony nonsense. The same folks that brought you the Amazing Spiderman movies.

Sony really doesn’t know what they are doing. I’m surprised Tom Hardy signed on for this.

Venom doesn’t have to be R rated. Carnage on the other hand...

This. Eddie Brock is such a loose, quirky character. You can go in a number of directions with him. Cletus Casady on the other hand?? Bet your ass that’s an R-Rated movie. He’s nothing but a cold blooded, homicidal maniac.

The problem isn't that the movie won't be gory.

The problem is that there's now a 100% chance the movie will have a "really the good guy all the time" Venom, which basically invalidates the character.

BTW...you realize Woody Harrelson is about to be Carnage in a PG13 movie, right?

Woody Harrelson is in Venom and while there have been rumors of him portraying Cletus Casady as of now his role hasn't been officially announced. So let's not get ahead of ourselves. Sony does this though. Remember last year there was buzz and rumors that Zendaya would be portraying you in Spiderman Homecoming but that proved to be untrue.

Sony isn’t lifting the review embargo until the day before Venom comes out. Not a good sign. I’m looking forward to this one, but Sony doesn’t seem confident in their work.

On the other hand, Fox seems pretty confident in this.

I'm excited for Venom. Dark Phoenix looks great though. I can't wait. Is Jessica Chastain supposed to be playing Emma Frost?

I dunno, the XMen Babies prequels leave me a lil pissed....

Hate how JLaw is made into not only a main character, but a "good" one too...doesn't make sense...

And all the youngins look TOO young to be going through the Phoenix saga just yet...

Oh well, I'm still gonna watch!!

I'll be upset if they don't go into detail about what Phoenix Force is and how it has chosen Jean as a host. Phoenix Force is one of the most powerful entities in MCU.

Woody Harrelson is a major star.
Woody Harrelson hasn't been in any of the trailers (that I've seen.)
The trailers I have seen have totally lacked a compelling villain, much less one who would pose a threat to Venom.
Woody Harrselson would make a GREAT Kletus Cassidy.

I mean...sure...they could go in another direction I guess...but if so then they're going out of their way to make it look like he WILL be Carnage, which sort of defeats the purpose.

I strongly suspect this is going to be a generic PG13 superhero movie meant to make it's money back opening weekend and then be forgotten about forever.

If I'm right and Harrelson is Carnage...and they're putting Carnage in a PG13 movie...there's no way they care about the property enough for this to be anything but crap.

I got the impression from the trailer that they are going the same route as xmen 3, making the pheonix some sort of alternate personality rather than a separate, sentient force like in the comics.

Sounds like Chris Evans is done with Cap

Chris Evans Verified Twitter account @ChrisEvans

Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.
