I also did not like Age of Ultron and became bored during Civil War, but I'm in the minority on that last one I think.

Strongly disagree on Dr. Strange and Civil War. AoU was poorly done though.

Dr Strange wasn't as good as I thought it would be, but still wasn't bad. Civil War was great. Ultron was weak by the MCU standards but was still an entertaining watch.

I didn't have high expectations for Dr. Strange. I liked it even less. Civil War was great but I liked Winter Soldier even better. Ultron was amazing IMO. Better than the Avengers.

Update: Henry Cavill‘s manager Dany Garcia has confirmed that another Superman standalone movie is a top priority right now:

“Henry has a big appetite,” she told Newsweek about Cavill’s Hollywood ambitions. “We’ve been in a five-month period of time where he’s re-strategizing, acquiring property , he’s filming [‘Justice League‘] now, he’s in development for the Superman standalone… he’s beginning to expand that world. It’s beautifully teed up. In a year from now, or two years from now, he’s going to be a force globally.”

I know Xmen aren't in MCU, but DoFP is my favorite marvel movie ever and it's not really close.

In MCU for me it goes:

1. Winter Soldier
2. Avengers
3. Guardians
4. Iron Man
5. Ant Man

If I were to include all of Marvel:
1. DoFP: Rogue Cut
2. Deadpool
3. Winter Soldier
4. Avengers
5. Guardians

IMO DoFP isn't even the best Xmen movie. X2 was amazing in every aspect.

I love X2, but it struggles to keep up with the new CGI. I love the wolverine scene in the school.

It is in my top 10. I just love the story and how beautifully shot DoFP is. I thunk the Rogue cut is a more compltete film.

Aaron Sorkin is meeting with Marvel and DC about potential movies

Acclaimed screenwriter may make his first foray into blockbusters -- if the right superhero can be found

Dammit! I missed Ant Man.

Any Man is honorable mention AT LEAST. Damn Marvel does a great job most of the time.

More info..

SPIDER-MAN MAY LEAVE MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE AFTER HOMECOMING SEQUEL
Not sticking around, Pete?

It was something of a landmark deal when Sony and Marvel partnered to allow Spider-Man (the rights for which lie with Sony) to appear in MCU films. That deal seems to have an end date, however. Speaking at the CinemaCon theater-owners event this week in Las Vegas, the former Sony chief explained:
“One of the things that I think is so amazing about this experience is that you don’t have studios deciding to work together to make a film very often. In fact it may never happen again, after we do the sequel [to Spider-Man: Homecoming]."

While Pascal's comments don't rule out the possibility of an extension to the deal, they do seem to confirm that Sony and Marvel's current deal ends after the second Spider-Man solo movie in 2019.
That deal currently encompasses Homecoming, Avengers: Infinity War, the untitled 2019 Avengers follow-up, and the Spidey solo sequel.
Sony's clearly got at least some plans for an MCU-free future, working on two unconnected films in the Spider-verse; a Venom standalone film and a Black Cat-Silver Sable team-up. It will also release an animated film starring Ultimate Spider-Man, Miles Morales in 2018.

Antman is high on my list because it exceeded my expectations. I thought the character would be way too corny for the big screen and that it would flop. The story turned out to be anything but. The supporting cast was very strong from Michael Douglas and Michael Pena and T.I. etc. Antman is definitely one of my favs.

I had NO interest in Antman, until I was up late one night. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Then again, I really liked BvS (although it was a little long)

Stupid. Sony just needs to hand it all over to Marvel or at least find some way to work together so both sides benefit. Sony has no clue what it's doing.

I don't see how you can do "standalone" films on something like Venom without using Spidey. There is no Venom without Spidey.

Thor: Ragnarok has been my most anticipated movie of this year and this trailer solidifies that for me, this movie will be so much fun and truly will capture the Jack Kirby comics. I'm happy to see more and more movies that capture the colorfulness and craziness of a lot of great comic books from the 70s and 80s.

Agreed. I can't wait. This is new territory for the Thor franchise. But I think it will be a success.
