How do you think they will introduce the X-Men universe within the current MCU?

Probably wouldn't be anything too elaborate, if at all. Maybe just an end scene or a quick scene during the movie where you hear Professor X telepathically speaking to one of the characters or guiding them...or something.

Like, where the hell were the xmen during NY, Sokovia, etc? What has Magneto been doing? Nick Fury just ignored all of them for recruitment?

It will be tougher than we think. Eliminating all of the plot holes will be interesting.

The X-men were battling the mutant registration act. Professor X was fighting for mutant equality while Magneto was fighting for mutant domination...They weren't worried about some Aliens.

I agree, it will be difficult. They could just keep them separate, but I doubt it.

So I just rewatched Thor Ragnarok. How is it that no one has suggested the Eternal Flame as the last Infinity Stone. The Soul Stone is supposed to be Orange and the Flame had a orange tint to it. Hela held it in higher regard than the Tesseract, which we know is an Infinity Stone. The Flame showed some serious power too. Hela used it to raise a bunch of dead, which implies soul power, plus it was the source of Surturs power when he went full Ragnarok, destroying the Asgard world and waxed Hela.

HMMMMMM that is a good catch and it certainly seems to match up. I would've never caught it but if the flame is indeed the soul stone it would make sense. That would be the 4th infinity stone introduced by a Thor character and Thor is really the only member of the team in search of information on the infinity stones. Good catch Terry.

Great catch. Now I need to go back to watch Thor Ragnarok again. Maybe the post credit scene is Thanos on his way to or from Asgard to pick up the flame/soul stone? It seems like some the stones can announce their location like the Tesseract/Mind Stone did. In Avengers it was said that using the Tesseract announces to the galaxy that this world is ready for a “higher form of war” (Infinity War). Maybe in using the flame Surtur announced to Thanos the location of the Soul Stone?

The big premiere was last night with all of the stars in attendance. Early reaction so far are great, as expected. People who saw it say there are a ton of surprises.

I did read that if you didn't like Civil War, you probably won't like IW. More than one critic says it's structured the same with a longer, more expansive "Airport battle" before a lack luster ending.

I’ve read that the ending was “brilliant”. Haven’t heard otherwise.

Some like cliff hangers more than others. I'm still excited, but I didn't love Civil War.

Sunday 6pm. I'll be out of town and have to wait to see it with the wife. I may sneak out and see it Thursday, there's still tickets for sale.

There were no Thursday tickets when I bought mine today. We see the big MCU films in True IMAX or Cinemark XD, but even be smaller screen looked completely bought out.

I’m hearing there is a ton to spoil so I won’t be in this thread Thursday night. Glad you get to see it immediately and I’m jealous.

We were going to wait until Saturday but since it's my twins 13th birthday and they didn't want to wait they talked me and my wife into it and we're all going 10:45 Thursday night. IMAX 3D.

I hate 3D unless the film is shot with 3D cameras. Otherwise it detracts from the film imo. Love IMAX though. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on this one.
