Same here. Too much Stark/Ironman. Is this not a standalone Spider-man movie or not? Although it'll be nice to have him be a part of the whole Marvel universe, but Spider-man is Marvel's greatest character, he doesn't need Ironman in half (or even 1/4) of the movie.

This is a Spiderman movie, but it's also part of the MCU now. We also don't know how much Ironman/Tony Stark will be in the actual movie and are basing this off of a trailer. If Ironman and Spidey team up in an action sequence or two than so be it. The storyline will still focused on Spiderman/Peter Parker.

I'm just sayin, we are too far along in the MCU for there not to be other Avenger characters in any standalone movie. Especially since part of the plot is how Spidey is being indoctrinated in with the Avengers.

MCU has been nailing these movies, I expect they won't fail with their initial installment of Spiderman. I'm confident it will be 10x better than anything we saw with Tobey McGuire or that other dude (The Amazing Spiderman)

I like the trailer. Can't wait.

That friend who knows his identity is Ned Leeds aka the Hobgoblin.

I'm actually very happy with that part. Universes are colliding (as George Costanza once said). And you're right that it's just a trailer, but there was just as much Stark in the trailer as PP/SM. I just don't want it to feel like a team-up movie. It's fine if they want characters to have brief appearances in others' solo movies, but it needs to be brief.

But it's not the classic Ned Leeds. I doubt he'll become Hobgoblin. But more like Ganke Lee, a friend of Miles Morales. At least that's what I dug up from a few trailer reviews.

I think it's a good trailer. I doubt Iron-Man is in it as much as it appears in the trailer. Seeing Iron Man reminds you that Spidey is finally in the MCU. At this point it would be a huge plot hole to have some kid fighting major villains in New York without some acknowledgment of the Avengers. Based on the trailer alone it appears that Marvel will not disappoint us.

New LOGAN trailer supposed to be released tomorrow.

I'm really curious about this movie. All of the different X-men/Wolverine movies have screwed up timelines and what characters are where and with who, etc.

I'm going to see it but I'm not very excited. The solo Wolverine movies have been very meh-bad and this one looks to be pretty boring.

A lot of people are really hyped for it. I don't get it.

I never read the Old Man Logan arcs or anything. And I'm not all that familiar with X-23 either. Guessing fans of those arcs are the ones really excited.

It will be the best Wolverine movie by far. It's the Wolverine we should have had 15 years ago.

I never liked old man Logan. It was too far off the normal comic arc for all the characters, especially Wolverine. I'll watch this movie, but it looks like I will feel the same towards it.

Old man Logan is a little off kilter and simply won't be done. Red Skull and Hulk are not the same studio, and X-23 is a totally different story.

But the fact that Xavier is there makes me think they are keeping one tidbit from the OML story.

Spoiler:
The one where Wolvie kills all the X-men because of a hallucination, and decides to never use his claws again.

Apparently Black Panther and both Avengers sequels are currently filming in Atlanta. One of my cousins signed up to be an extra in Black Panther and some of them are also going to be doing the Avengers sequels. Cool.

Well that blows, but he has shared concerns about being able to do both with this role. At least he recognized that it is too much for him, and he doesn't want to blow it. He'll apparently be selecting the director to "partner with."

Maybe he'll have another Project Greenlight competition.

Matt Reeves (Cloverfield and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) has signed on to direct The Batman.

I've actually never seen either film, but have heard great things about Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and mixed things about Cloverfield.

Oddly, I did see 10 Cloverfield Way and enjoyed that. Goodman played a great nut job.

Guardians of the Galaxy vol:2 scored a perfect 100 out of 100 at the first test screenings for the film

Both films were pretty good. Cloverfield was a bit confusing but I love the new Planet of the ape series. Let's see what happens.

I take this with a grain of salt. Why? The previous highest pre screen scoring Marvel film was Iron Man 3.

So they may have Affleck as Batman in the Justice League while having a separate world/different actor Batman in this standalone trilogy?

I'm sure people will love that...

I still want to see Affleck's Batman movie, but I'd be very happy with cutting Leto's Joker. I like Leto as an actor but thought his Joker was horrendous. My biggest takeaway from Suicide Squad (which I enjoyed even though I didn't think it was "good") was "I don't want that Joker anywhere near the new Batman." It was the very first thing I said when leaving the theater.
