4/6

Missed: How can Team A attempt a field goal without facing a rush?
Missed: Where should the referee mark the ball {on a kickoff touched by a player out of bounds}?

Been hearing murmurs that Jeep's quality has hit the shitter since the Daimler takeover.

I'm getting concerned about my wife's Jetta as well because VW is getting savaged these days.

Jeep has always sucked but with what I do with it, it was either Wrangler or FJ Cruiser. And I knew Toyota was discontinuing that.

As the little one grows up, I’ll get into an F150 or Tundra.

I hope the VW is ok for you. The fear is as they continue to buy companies they will drop the ball and lose sight.

Like with everything else (banking, beer, insurance, etc)...we are getting less and less choice...leading to less and less pressure on business

drive a '16 jetta. everything feels "solid" in this car (drove a fiat before and the thing felt like it was built out of legos - everything was plastic and crapily made).

car has pep (1.4 turbo comes standard as of this year, instead of that old 2.5, and plus I'm driving stick, so it's quite a bit of fun), gets great gas mileage and feels safe and "dense", but the one thing that concerns me is the electronics.

"blew" my Electronic Motor Control after only about 6-8 months of having the car (was pushing the car, but still), and if I hit a pothole or big bump, I've had the cruise control get knocked "off", and the bluetooth (to my iphone) syncing is always ****ing up - either not finding my phone, or can't sync (have to turn car off and on again for it to work), and the knob to the back seat light broke off (could have been a drunk uber rider though); all problems revolving around electronic components. Just seems shoddy to only happen within less than 2 years of ownership

That does seem excessive. Hopefully it was all covered. And everything that will go wrong does so before warranty expiration

My warranty is long gone. I have 90K miles on it

Wife's Jetta is a 2015. No real issues with it except for some assmunch stealing the VW logo off the grill about a year ago.

Seriously, why the hell would somebody do that?

Got a Jetta as my rental for the next few days.

Worst rental I’ve EVER had. I don’t see the appeal.

I was snacking CONSTANTLY on the road ... I have been home since September, and the wife put the kabash on grabbing hands full of peanuts, chips, and alledgely some candy. I didnt notice the difference at first, but recently more people have said things about my weight.I am currently under 200 for the first time consistently since 2002 .. I am keeping active thanks to my fitbit (which also helps), not eating as much, eating the right hings, and snacking on apples, grapes, raisins, etc.

I feel a bunch better, and really have a mindset to keep it up.

Grapes come in a variety of colors (green, purple, black, red) and sizes (small, medium, large). The tastes can range from sweet to tart. The consistency can range from mushy (barf) to firm.

The grapes I had today were the perfect blend of taste and consistency. Sweet, without being sickening sweet, and firm (meaning, fresh).

I like my grapes crushed, filtered, infused with yeast and aged in a barrel for a while.

Only certain varietals of grapes grown in certain regions are capable of doing this consistently well.

Nice...every so often I will kind of purge my system (no soda, no fast food, etc) and it indeed does give your whole body and psyche a benefit.

Now i just have to get to the point of making the purge continuous

Keep up the good work Croc!!!

one of our PhD students gave me a bottle of wine for Christmas for some extra work I helped him with on a consulting project he was doing with a local sheriff office....they knew I have Russian heritage so they presumably looked for something from Eastern Europe.

They got me a Romanian Cabernet...it was dreadful.
