I believe they were talking about it in the talking dead.
After that exchange I have a feeling Richard is going to have a gun at the next meeting and take out the guy who has been bothering him. Offering himself as a catalyst to get the Kingdom into the coming battle.
I was curious if anybody else was worried about the junkyard people? Just get the feeling they will take the weapons then not get into the fight.
I'm not sure what to make of Jadis and her silent junkyard people. I wouldn't trust her anymore than I'd trust Negan.
As for the folks checking out...what is it you want to see? Unending zombie killing? Constant battles between the Saviors and other groups? Not sure what it is that the show would need to do to keep you engaged. I haven't had any issue staying engaged with this show. I'm really enjoying the story lines and anticipating how these diverse groups will come together to fight it out with The Saviors.
Mainly better writing. The show has never been something that would be featured on HBO as far as writing or depth, but last season took a massive step back. This season (beginning) was just really difficult to watch with Negan. I can't tell if the actor is just terrible or the writing, but the slow story line, the way Rick has acted, and Ezekiel were way too far over the top for me.
Another thing is the story is extremely cyclic to the point where it's exhausting. It doesn't appear that there is an end game in sight. The story line just repeats itself except replace one baddie with another and one location for another.
To each their own. I was a huge fan of TWD for a while, longer than most of my friends who left after the Governor story line, but it just doesn't work for me anymore. I was hoping for something great to bring me back in, but from everything I've read, it's more of the same.
