Tech wants to prove they belong, and the D is legit.

FSU is exposed for what they were .... overrated.

There is a lot going on in this game that is not being talked about. The first drive by VT was dominant but other than that they have been unimpressive. FSU just keeps shooting themselves in the foot.

On a side note it is obvious that the NCAA is not trying to do anything about targeting or helmet to helmet hits.

I said this very thing to a friend of mine. In the NFL it would have been 10 calls by now

Not doing it in this game. These guys are leading with their helmets on every other play and it has not been called once.

Not waiting for that TD to be reviewed was inexcusable and his attempts to deflect and blame the refs was comical. Nobody was forcing him to snap the ball in a nanosecond. And then he attempts to justify it by saying that they couldn't push it in from the 5 yard line anyway.

Not a good first game for Taggart.

It's going to take time. He has a proven system that works. You could tell the players were having difficulty executing. Blocking was brutal. The ball did not bounce once in FSU's favor tonight. I also thought the refs were lousy. It was comical how many calls they were missing.

Proven where? High school? He had one Decent season at USF and a bunch of 7-5 seasons and worse around that. 7-5 and an occasional 10-2 isn’t gonna cut it at FSU.

Agree with you here...

It's one thing to lose in a competitive game or shoot out..had we gone down 34-28 or something like that we'd all feel alot better this morning...

But we looked completely inept on offense....as if the scheme was just plugged in on Thursday and we were running it for the first time...

Our OL, RBs (sans Patrick), WRs and QB (yep) looked slow and indecisive...

I know it's only one game but from a coaching perspective, that was not good.

Time management and player situational awareness was awful. Running to the line to snap the ball after the "maybe" TD was dumb. And then there's a false start. Right before the half, Francois scrambles for ~1 yard and is tackled instead of throwing the ball away. And no timeout after.

Is there a reason they can't run the ball up the middle? All runs seemed to be bounced to the outside or out of the shotgun. Not really what I want to see when the o-line is obviously terrible. After Akers' run, we gave Francois no chance to score, instead we tried a trick play.

Yeah...it was one game. I mean, we had all off-season to prepare for it. Yikes, idk. That was really bad. And yes, I'm an FSU alum and homer.

Bad night for Coach Taggert, who I like alot despite coaching for FSU now. But that game should've been closer.

Coaching and Oline were the takeaways I had which need to improve. But FSU still has talent, they just looked sloppy and undisciplined. VTech was the better coached team for sure and that allowed them to go into Doak and get a win despite being the less talented team.

I knew they were in trouble when the team did that absurd kickoff dance. What the hell was that embarrassing display? Made the players look undisciplined and ridiculous.
