I'm going to say Milton.
I don't know about next level yet though,
But he's the QB that's fun to watch right now.
Being less than 6 ft tall hurts his chances a bit.

Big Kat Bryant is a defensive end who plays for Auburn. On top of having a kick ass name, he is making some plays versus Washington. I'm impressed. He's only a true sophomore so thus is ineligible for the draft, but he's a name to watch for the future.

Alex Barnes, RB K State is a 227lb guy with a similar build to James Connor.

He ran a sweep and trucked some poor Miss St. DB. He might be worth a closer look as big backs for some reason hate contact in college.

I'm looking at you, Derrick Henry.

Wowza,
Milton having a terrible half against SC State.
Welp, unless he crushes it from here on out, he won't be gathering any college
hardware this year.

IDK who Auburn's left tackle is, but he is putting on a run blocking clinic.

And I'm over her thinking about Stidham with the first rounder.

Pick up the option on Winston, draft that kid, let him hold a clipboard for a year and have a good old fashioned QB controversy in 2020.

He didn't look nearly as good in the second half.

The 2 picks from Stidham were miscommunication, on the 1st Davis ran a out route and Stidham threw the comeback/curl, on the 2nd Slayton didn't even turn to look for the ball. If it wasn't for those 2 his stats wouldn't look bad. Lsu always has good D so they're bound to make some guys look bad. Most importantly, **** the refs for that game! Gotta let these kids fuckin play the game!

They hype was that, for the NFL Draft, that line would yield 3 first round picks and one second rounder. I know we're only a couple of games in, but I seriously would not be shocked if Lawrence, Ferrell, Wilkins, and Byant ALL go first round. They all have different skill sets, and obviously different positions, so it's not like I'm saying that they are the 4 best overall. I'm saying that Lawrence is the best nose available, Ferrell is the best end or very close to it, etc...

As a group they're just flat out fun to watch.

I only watched one game this weekend, so I can just say this: Clemson RB Travis Etienne is becoming one of my new man crushes. I liked him a lot last year, but he was one of those elusive, great in space, excitement guys. He was fun to watch, but that only goes so far.

This year he's like a whole new guy. He still has the speed, great cutting ability, great vision, etc., but all of a sudden he found some power - and lots of it. He's listed as 5' 10" 200, but his yards after contact are insane. I don't mean yards after light contact, like an arm tackle. I'm talking about yards after getting square-up hit. He's pushing piles, breaking tackles, downright punishing people on contact. And then on the next play he'll sidestep, spin move, bounce around yet keep his balance, and then out-sprint a couple of DB's to the end zone. This guy is absolutely someone to keep an eye on.

Not a Herbert fan. Robotic, stiff, with a delivery that mitigates his height advantage at the LOS. The Paxton Lynch is strong in him.

I don't love any quarterback in this class right now. I think Clayton Thorson is going to have a better career than several guys who go ahead of him, though.

I like Tyree Jackson as a developmental type also.

To be fair, we can afford a development type QB. 2 of them.

In what turned out to be a dog fight against Syracuse last week (I know, but previously unbeaten Syracuse for what it's worth):

27 ATT
203 YDS
7.5 AVG
26 LNG
3 TD

Again, many yards after solid contact, driving piles, always falling forward, and then also making people miss in the open field and showing great speed.

Excited to watch Clayton Thorson tomorrow. I really think he has an NFL future, as I indicated.

(Yes, I realize how sad it is for a Husker fan to be excited to watch a NW player...but here we are.)

He did pretty well against Michigan this year. He wilted in the second half, but he was making plays in the first. Definitely a guy to look out for in the later rounds.
