Private workouts/visits tracker 2018

There are a couple of lists. The visits list is like a few paragraphs below the workouts list. The other pages are useful too.
There are people everywhere who want to be the only one to speak. So I just ignore them. Literally.

I'm going to compile this in an easy to digest format, combined with the walterfootball list:

Guys We've Met With at Least Twice: Circle These Names In Red Ink:
Minkah Fitzpatrick, CB/S, Alabama. Projected Top Ten Pick
Will Hernandez, G, UTEP. Projected Late First/Early Second Round Pick

Private Workouts:
Austin Allen QB Arkansas 6-0 210. Projected UDFA. Throwing shoulder injury as a senior, didn't look right when he came back. Looked better as a junior.
Austin Corbett OT Nevada 6-4 306. Projected 2nd rounder. Played tackle in college, expected to move inside to guard or center in the pros.
Minkah Fitzpatrick CB/S Alabama 6-0 204. Projected top ten pick. Able to play any spot in the secondary. Question whether he has the hips to be a full-time CB1, or if he's better suited to full-time safety.
Josh Frazier DL Alabama 6-4 321. Projected UDFA. Was a backup run-stuffer for Alabama, offers practically nothing as a pass rusher.
Derrius Guice RB LSU 5-10 224. Projected 1st or 2nd rounder. Violent runner with home run speed and bellcow potential, recurring injury history.
Will Hernandez OG UTEP 6-2 327. Projected 1st or 2nd rounder. Fantastic run blocker with good anchor in pass pro, but is short, stumpy, lost in space.
Nyheim Hines RB N.C. State 5-8 198. Projected 3rd or 4th rounder. All-American sprinter (4.38), former starting receiver, great third down option. Kinda small.
Jamar King DT Alabama 6-3 290. Projected UDFA. 28 years old, worked full-time to help his parents before going to college. Athletic (4.80 40, 20 reps at his pro day). Barely played for Bama.
Mike Love EDGE USF 6-3 266. Projected UDFA. Local kid with 5.5 sacks last year. Plays well in space, has juice off the edge. Not productive enough.
Kendrick Norton DT Miami 6-3 314. Projected 3rd or 4th rounder. Run stuffing nosetackle, anchors well. Two down player, 5 career sacks in 3 seasons.
Braden Smith OG Auburn 6-6 315. Projected 2nd or 3rd rounder. Highly decorated All-American. Powerful blocker but sometimes plays slow.
Tre'Quan Smith WR UCF 6-2 203. Projected 4th rounder. Productive (1171 yards and 13 TDs last year). Needs to play stronger to win contested catches.
Chad Thomas EDGE Miami 6-5 281. Projected 2nd or 3rd rounder. Boom/bust. Skates by on his intriguing athleticism, lacked production (99 career tackles, 9 career sacks). Bulk up to tackle?
Mark Walton RB Miami 5-9 202. Projected 4th or 5th rounder. Stout three-down back, plus pass blocker, can carry the load. Nagging ankle injury shortened his senior season. Committee back.

Private Visits:
Jaire Alexander CB Louisville 5-10 196
Taven Bryan DT Florida 6-5 291
Bradley Chubb DE N.C. State 6-4 269
Nick Chubb RB Georgia 5-10 227

Justin Lawler DE SMU 6-4240
Mike McGlinchey OT Notre Dame 6-8 310

Eddy Pineiro (local visit) K Florida 5-11 185
M.J. Stewart, CB, North Carolina
Vita Vea DT Washington 6-4 347
Armani Watts S Texas A&M 5-10 202
Ish Witter (local visit), RB Missouri

East-West Shrine Game:
Brett Toth OT Army
Steven Dunbar WR Houston
Kentavius Street DE N.C. State
Jordan Thomas CB Oklahoma
Tracy Walker S La.-Lafayette
Justin Watson WR Pennsylvania

Senior Bowl:
Dimitri Flowers FB Oklahoma
Michael Gallup WR Colorado State
Christian LaCouture DT/3-4DE LSU
Joseph Noteboom OT TCU
Akrum Wadley RB Iowa

Combine:

Natrell Jamerson S Wisconsin
Elijah Marks WR Northern Arizona
Isaiah Oliver CB Colorado
Dante Pettis WR Washington

Let me know if I miss anyone. I will update this with round projections if people want.

I added a few lines about the guys we brought in for private workouts, to give some context to guys we may not be familiar with. I can do that for others with time, if that's an appreciated effort

As the article stated, it is normal for the team to be sold on tape alone. The players that they worked out, the Bucs had additional questions for them. They wanted to see how well they could do things that their system in college didn't ask the player to do ever.

In Davenport's case, I hope the film was enough to tell them they're not interested.

I'd think a team that is interested in Landry would want to meet with him, since he's coming off and injury-plagued season.

Not a big fan of the later round RBs we're talking to. If we leave the draft with one of Hines/Wadley/Walton to go with Peyton Barber I'm not going to be very inspired. I would rather be looking at John Kelly as that guy who could be there in the 4th/5th.

With that said, I'd really like one of Michel/Penny, or Chubb who we apparently haven't met with. Probably our best chance for that is for the trade down scenario to materialize, because I'm not sure Licht is going to prioritize a RB if we haven't also addressed both DB and OG.

Read somewhere on Twitter that Davenport bombed his interview with us (guessing it occurred at the combine?)...

Think it was on the PR Fab 5 or something last week...

Anyone think it means anything that Minkah is the only prospect we met with twice? That's what the list on Walterfootball seems to show (PRI, WOR). We were also obviously at Bama's Pro Day.

If our draft went:

Fitz
Hernandez
Jackson (obviously have to trade back up to get him)

I'd be pretty damn pleased....

I guess Derwin James would have been on the list twice if he didn't say no to the workout.

It still would have counted against our allotted workout and visit totals. He said no to every team.

These are the published visits. Litch was asked in a press conference if he didn't meet with Barkley because they saw enough tape to deem it not necessary, he answered that they did in deed bring him in.

So this list is nice but there are players probably not on this list that have met with the Bucs

I would be very happy with a Fitz, Hernandez, Hines draft... With that said idk how far Hernandez is likely to fall, but if Cam Robinson and Lamp fell to the second last year then it's not too far fetched is Will is there. I think it's more likely we're looking at him in a possible trade down situation. A big guy who can compete and likely win the LG spot, allowing Ali to move back to RG, and Sweezy either be cut or be a pricey swing guard.

Which doesn't look good, imo. I mean here are all these other players, some rated high above him with more millions on the line, working out for teams. So when a guy who already has injury concerns refuses to even do a work out for you because he's concerned about injury, that is not a good look.

Disagree. I'm impressed with any player that's smart enough to not workout. They've already done multiple workouts. The teams don't need more. It's a complete negative.

This makes 0 sense. I don't think it's a big deal for a player not to do private work outs, but it's not a positive, especially with James' knee. If we were down to Fitz vs James and Fitz really impressed on his private workout, but James chose not to, then that hurts him. James' tape isn't great last season.

Seriously? I get that contact-less injuries happen but they are rare and freak accidents and should be treated as such. All these other players work out knowing that. If you are actively AFRAID of injuring yourself working out, that does not make me feel confident in your durability if you don't even believe in your durability.

They've already been worked out and medically tested. They're only adding risk with zero benefit.

0 benefit, except higher draft pick and more money.

Christian McCaffrey refused to workout for teams. Kentavius Street and Nick Nelson agreed to workout for teams. Whose draft stock was negatively impacted more?
