If KC doesn't pick soon, they'll be autodrafted Ricky Aguayo

Hahahahah!

Edit: I guess we are approaching the 24 hour mark. Won’t fit round 3 at that pace.

I liked no less than seven players for that Niners selection. This draft has some talent in it, for sure.

Very good draft, Cheb. If anyone thinks this draft is 4 or 5 players deep look no further than this mock. Of the 60 players select I'd say it's realistic that you could make a case for at least 50 of them to be 1st round picks. And there are still some who haven't been taken yet

A good back would have been there in the third, just maybe not your boy.

Bootz with the smart pick of Ronnie Harrison. I think he's a late first rounder, and I was very shocked he dropped this late. I was a millimeter away from picking him for the Niners, but they have a congested safety situation right now and running back was a larger need.

This mock is heavily skewed towards the lines. The skill positions are falling far, outside of running backs.

Disagree. As per your above post, the RBs are going quickly. The only guy left who I think you can count on, is Royce Freeman and even he is a bit of a wildcard- who would be a bit redundant beside Barber. The other guys are shots in the dark ala McNichols last year. With this season being as important as it is for this FO, coach, and quarterback... I aint gambling on a lottery ticket.

All draftees are lottery tickets.

Back to the point of your post, we don't need a guy to be an every down workhorse. We need someone who would add to the rotation and can help carry the load with Barber. Someone who can hopefully get 4 yards a carry, pass block well to keep Winston healthy, and keep the defense honest when we inevitably go shotgun fury. There's no shame in splitting carries in the backfield. Indeed, one could argue it's the smart thing to do. There are a ton of guys who can do just that. Just based on who is left in this mock, I'd feel comfortable with us adding one of the following players to our backfield: Royce Freeman, Bo Scarbrough, Mark Walton, John Kelly, Akrum Wadley, Nyheim Hines, Josh Adams, Ralph Webb, Justin Jackson, Jordan Wilkins.

Trading up for a running back in a class this deep is desperate. There's going to be guys in the fifth and sixth rounds who produce in this league. The job of a good scout or GM is to identify who those guys will be, not hit the panic trade button to grab a guy seen as safer.

DN can you please post the 3rd round pick schedule? Now that the pesky weekend is over, we're back on track and successfully avoiding our work.

I know that a third round sounds appealing, but should we stop at the end of the second? Free agency starts this afternoon, and is going to wildly change perceived needs.

I submit to the will of the group, but I think that stopping at the end of the second is wise.

Of the top 10 rushers in the NFL, 5 were first rounders, and 3 were Day 2 picks. This myth that you can somehow just find stud RBs on day 3 needs to die.

I've been sick since last Wednesday and am still catching up on work and non-work related **** I've put to the side the past few days. I really don't have the time or give a **** today to figure out the 3rd round order with all the trades that have occurred.

Same with 'day 3 developmental QBs'. They never work out for the team that drafts them. Since Brady in '00, no QB drafted day has ever thrown for more than 6k career yards for the team that drafted them and the leaders are guys named Rattay and Seimien. Yet we always hear about how you should always draft a QB even if you don't need one. Sounds like good way to throw away a draft pick imo.
