Atleast Purdue is winning.

Buffalo beating a B1G team? Although Rutgers doesn't count so I won't hold that against them.

The MAC is beating up on the Big 10 with Akron bearing NW last week

It's the little things that make watching a blowout worthwhile.

Won't see that play attempted in the NFL....

Not sure who is having a more miserable first month of college football: Scott Frost or Willie Taggart.

Ohio State has not had a QB that can make such quick, decisive decisions and throw it downfield as well as Haskins since Joe Germaine 20 years ago

Haskins 14-15, 240 yards, 4 TDs

This is the best Buckeye offense in a long time

Let's wait until after next week until we make that determination. Ohio State hasn't really played anyone, and that includes TCU who is getting shellacked by Texas.

Next week Ohio State at Penn State. Also got Stanford at Notre Dame. Almost like a mini-playoff. Can make the case the loser of those games are very likely out of it given how good Bama-Clemson-Georgia are this year.

So watching Wisc / Iowa

This is about as rare as it gets ... two teams running pro set offenses with the QBs under center

Any early thoughts on OSU vs PSU this weekend?

I think we get to see what the OSU defense can do against a balanced team that can power run the ball. I always dread pro-set play-action against the Bucks...we tend to suck at defensing it. That and screen passes.

I'm thinking low 30s / high 20...tight game.

Obviously expected better than this...but you know the difference between us and, say, FSU fans? Very little panic. Only the biggest idiots doing the "Fire Frost" Chicken Little routine. We knew that Frost is not only installing a unique offense that requires unique talent (that we don't really have yet) but more importantly, he's taking over a roster with less NFL talent than a good Division II program. We have maybe 5 guys who'll see an NFL 53 on the team right now. Illinois has more NFL talent.

So, we gotta keep being patient. Sucks. We all HOPED he'd come in and fix things overnight. But we're a fanbase of adults.

Yeah, I get it. But putting it all (or even MOST of it) on Taggart after four games is lunancy. My point is that like Frost, Taggart inherited a mess. Unlike Florida State fans, Nebraska fans are acknowledging this and not calling for our new coach's head a month into the job. I'm curious what coaching brilliance FSU fans think Taggart should employ to fix the offensive line he inherited, for example. Frankie Says Relax.

Michigan just got stopped on 4th and 1. Down 10-0 in the first quarter versus Northwestern.

Pat Fitzgerald runs a tight ship, and Michigan typically loses a B1G game it should win every year. This could be the one.

That Northwestern QB, Clayton Thorson, has some moxxy. He's a redshirt junior right now. I wouldn't think that he'd declare early, but if/when he does declare for the draft, I think he'd make for a good late round backup. Color me impressed thus far.

And Michigan finally has the lead.

Ain't over yet, but we have every ounce of momentum. We'll see how it shakes out.
