I really hope to watch more Ohio State this fall. Didn't see near enough of them in 2017

Michigan better start winning some big games. Not even Harbaugh can survive not beating the Buckeyes.

McSorley will be my top 5 QBs to start the season. Hes an awesome competitor.

Wisconsin is always fun to watch. Especially when they run the ball well.

I don’t blame you, you haven’t had good QB play in 15 years.

You guys almost always had the best QBin the Big 10. It’s been nearly 20 years since that has happened

I'm excited for the Scott Frost era, in the same sense that Donald Trump is excited to talk about himself. Which is to say, really, really excited.

That said, I'm also melancholy about Mike Riley. He's a seriously great dude. He was a local fixture in the way no coach since Tom really was. He went to the dive restaurants and BS'd with the fans on the street and never stopped making you feel good about the program. Unless you were very insulated, you had a Mike Riley story from his time here, and it would involve you saying he was a great dude.

I bartended some local charity thing a couple years ago, and he spent as much time talking with me (about the NFL draft, mostly) as he did any of the boosters. I remember joking with him about Sabby Piscitelli and him cracking a big smile and talking about what a great kid he was and how surprised he was it didn't go better.

It's just too bad he didn't have the chops to coach an actual program that expects to win more than 5 games a year, I guess. The good news is he'll make more in six months severance than I'll make in my adult life, so I'm not losing sleep over it.

One of my all time favorite Buckeyes (and a fellow Clevelander), Mike Vrabel, got his first head coaching gig. Sadly it’s with Mariota

Mark Dantonio denies allegations concerning handling of sexual assault complaints

It’s going to be interesting in next couple of weeks. Almost all of MSU administrators are gone

NCAA president Mark Emmert was alerted to 37 reports of alleged sexual assault by Michigan State athletes at a meeting in 2010, soon after he was hired, according to a report in The Athletic.

According to The Athletic, the meeting occurred in Indianapolis in November 2010 -- six months after Emmert's hiring.

Emmert met with Kathy Redmond, the founder of the National Coalition Against Violent Athletes, and received a letter from her dated Nov. 17, 2010, that detailed the allegations about MSU athletes sexually assaulting women. Also in attendance alongside Emmert and Redmond was legal expert Wendy Murphy, according to the website.

"Mark Emmert was brand-new, and he'd initially said, 'One sexual assault is one too many,'" Redmond told The Athletic in a story published Friday. "As soon as I heard that, I thought I might have an ally."

OTL: Spartan secrets extend far beyond Larry Nassar
Outside the Lines investigation has found a pattern of widespread denial, inaction and information suppression of sexual assault and violence allegations by officials ranging from campus police to the Spartan athletic department.

Michigan State athletic director Hollis resigns
Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis resigned Friday in the wake of the Larry Nassar scandal.

Dantonio, Izzo address MSU assault allegations
While Mark Dantonio said accusations about the Michigan State football program mishandling sexual assault allegations are "completely false," basketball coach Tom Izzo declined to get into specifics Friday night.
Redmond also raised concerns about former Michigan State president Lou Anna Simon and how the school handled a police report a woman filed accusing two MSU basketball players of sexual assault. Redmond also sent copies of the letter to the members of the NCAA board of governors, which included Simon.

In a follow-up letter to Redmond and Murphy after the November 2010 meeting, Emmert said he was sincere in making "proper NCAA student-athlete conduct a priority" and detailed several examples of NCAA efforts to address sexual assaults on campuses.

Simon resigned from her position at Michigan State on Wednesday night -- hours after Larry Nassar, a former university and USA Gymnastics doctor, received a 40- to 175-year sentence in state prison for sexually assaulting female athletes.

ESPN's Outside the Lines published a report Friday that outlined a history of mishandling sexual assault allegations within Michigan State's athletic department. The report discovered a "pattern of widespread denial, inaction and information suppression" of sexual assault allegations. Athletic director Mark Hollis retired Friday morning, hours before the report was published. Acting president Bill Beekman said he was not aware of the report at the conclusion of Friday's meeting of the board of trustees.

The NCAA said on Tuesday it would be opening an investigation of MSU's handling of the Nassar case.

Nebraska had a really nice class. #22 according to 24/7. Highest it's been in awhile. 24 three and four stars who should provide the foundation for Frost's program, and most importantly our highest rated guy was the #7 dual-threat QB in the nation.

I'm very excited to see how we do when Frost gets a full cycle to work with.

I was always a Frost fan back in his playing days. Then when he went to the Browns it just solidified it. I remember him running a couple 2 pt conversions as QB wearing #37.

In fact, I liked all the old Option QBs...even Eric Crouch

You guys are definitely on the upswing. I've always been a Frost fan, and it is good karma that he's gone back home.

Wishing you and yours the best.

Anyone catch what the dude on the Hawkeyes did? He had tied the school record for consecutive free throws at 34...next time he went to the line he missed both on purpose.

The guy he was tied with was that Street kid who was killed in a car crash during the season back in the 90's.

So we are gonna reward the kid for point shaving? ESPECIALLY after the weekend that college hoops had scandal wise? This is the kind of **** that finally made Nick Nolte crack...

Jk Zarni....I heard the story this morning on my drive in and thought it was pretty awesome..

Ha! I didn't even think about that. I wonder if the 2 points could have swung the point spread winner? If so, I'm sure Vegas wasn't all that happy with him doing it!

MJW -- I just saw that your Cornhuskers open up my Zips this year! I'm setting the early spread at 35.
