Without Jordan Poole being a hero at the end, we should have lost that one. Still, this squad has some grit to it and John Bielein is a good coach. Maybe we can make a run like it's 2013 again.

Ole Miss has submitted its response to Michigan's request for immediate eligibility for transfer quarterback Shea Patterson.

NCAA now has the final say on whether Patterson can suit up this season for the Wolverines.

Michigan vs Villanova in the championship game.

While I want to be enthusiastic, I expect Villanova to destroy us.

I'll be rooting for y'all. It'd be a good thing for the conference.

Bjork, speaking with Dan Wolken of USA Today, declined to get into specifics citing privacy laws. He did, however, offer the following regarding Patterson and the reported disagreements over an appeal.

“We would not oppose a waiver of the year in residence requirement based on a legitimate reason for any student-athlete who wants to transfer from Ole Miss. So the waiver in question, the way it was written, we had no choice, but to respond the way that we did and anyone who left our program, we wish them the best academically and athletically, and at this point it’s not really our matter. It’s an NCAA and Michigan matter at this point.”

Best of luck to him but I won't weep any tears for this move. He has regressed in a big way. Maybe he'll turn it around in LA. A bit of sunshine goes a long way.

The NCAA is expected to end the practice of blocking transfers.

I know we got some Michigan fans here.

WTF is going on w/ Elysee Mbem-Bosse? Apparently he left the team in November for family issues and was later suspended. Last night he goes on a twitter rant threatening Harbaugh.

Social media gives a platform the worst in people sometimes.

There isn't alot of public information about him. I saw the tweets. He's an angry young man. I just hope he doesn't do something stupid.

Going to the Nebraska Spring Game tomorrow. Lavonte is signing autographs so we're going to surprise him with probably the only Bucs bling he's going to see all day.

Following up:

David was there with Amukamara and Will Compton. LVD chuckled when I had him sign my Bucs hat and asked the other two if they wanted to sign some Bucs gear. Compton laughed and Prince said something like, "I almost played there!" in reference to being picked just ahead of us. I didn't think to ask if Raheem/Dom had told him that would happen if he was there.

Anyway, the game...Pretty much what I expected. Lotta illegal shifts/formation penalties. Tons of smoke throws, wide receiver screens, reverses, read options. The fans were excited about top recruit Adrian Martinez running around, but I thought unheralded JUCO sophomore Andrew Bunch was the only one who showed big time passing talent. If it was a traditional offense, he'd be starting.

One other note: Kurt Warner's son, Kade, made big play after big play at wide receiver. He could be a force in this attack.

Looks like OSUs QB issue has been solved. Joe Burrow is transferring leaving Haskins as our starter. He hasn’t announced where yet but someone is going to get a very good player. Apparently Nebraska is among his top choices. His dad played there and later was an assistant. Burrow is technically a graduate transfer and can play immediately, he has 2 years of eligibility left

I prefer Burrow to Haskins by a decent margin. A good chunk of our read option will be taken out of the playbook now

I think Shea Patterson is the most talented passer Harbaugh has had since Andrew Luck at Stanford.

With the QBs you guys had the last few years it’s pretty hard to argue with that.

That's not a very high bar. Alex Smith was probably the best of that bunch, and when Harbaugh arrived he as largely agreed upon as a colossal bust with a 19-31 record.

If Harbaugh wins 10 games again, but doesn't beat OSU or seriously contend for a playoff spot do Michigan fans start turn the heat up on his job?

Some might but I wouldn't. I think he's awesome. Barring utter catastrophe or scandal, I think he should be Michigan coach for life. The offensive success will rise up to par, it just needs time and continuity

WAY too early for any talk like that..

Unless, of course, the bar for Michigan football is losing to and being little brother to OSU every year and crossing your fingers for a invite to the Citrus/Outback bowl...

His first year was a good story..

His 2nd year had high expectations (maybe too high) and they crumbled under the pressure...

Was last year a throwaway or a sign of more to come?

I think Harbaugh is one of the 5 best coaches in CFB, but I only ask that because I've heard it from Michigan fans.

I think he had a top 5 body of work at Stanford....no question about it..

At Michigan?..still reading the tea leaves..right now I'd say he is more sizzle than steak in the "maze n blue"...

He turned a 5 win team to a 10 win team and has made them consistently good since. I'd say that's a lot more than sizzle.

Depends on how high you set the bar...

If this is North Carolina or Kentucky football? Hell yes, he's a God...but this is Michigan...

His results, thus far, compare much closer to David Cuttcliffe (Duke) or Bo Pellini (Huskers) than Saban, Meyer or hell even Franklin's..
