Ya I'd much prefer Carter in the 3rd. He's just as freaky as Key, and doesn't have the character or medical headaches.

Some interesting numbers for Carter:
Height: 6'6"
Weight: 242lbs
Bench presses: 355lbs
Squats: 500lbs
Power Cleans: 345lbs
GPS speed: 22.3 mph

And lastly...

PFF graded Carter as the highest pass rush productivity player in the FBS meaning he created more pressure per pass rushing snap than any other player in college football...

But the guy is a reach in the 3rd lmao...

If everything you said is true then THAT guy won't be available when we pick in the 2nd round. Let alone the 3rd. Teams are going to pass over that 70 times??

So he's gone from reach to a guy who's not going to be there... Bootz ladies and gentlemen...

I clearly said "if everything you said is true". Meaning if he's as good as you pump him up to be then how is this guy a 3rd round pick? Care to explain?

Every single big board I've seen has had Carter in the 3rd or later. The reason I believe he is underrated is because he was miscast as a 6'6" 240lbs LB at Georgia and has a smaller sample size rushing the passer than alot of the other edge prospects and that is why he only had a moderate amount of actual sacks and less statistical production.

And if folks are wondering where I got those numbers, they are from Tim Tebows freak of the week on Carter.

Oh so this isn't from your own research, this is just other mocks and draft boards that you've seen. So if in 2 months these same boards and mocks drop his stock down to say a 6th round pick, then what? He'll all of a sudden be a bum in your eyes or will you say the mocks are wrong?

This is why mocks are so whacked this time of year.

You really are ****ing dense...

Carter is a guy I identified while watching Georgia these last few weeks.

IMHO this is when mock making is at it's most interesting. Because this is the time before the group think starts happening and we get "consensus" mocks. The mocks now are the mocks folks are making based on what they've seen watching the actual games...

You identified him but by your own admission you didn't even put your own draft grade on him. You used a website's evaluation. My question was a simple one. if in 2 months these same boards and mocks drop his stock down to say a 6th round pick, then what? He'll all of a sudden be a bum in your eyes or will you say the mocks are wrong?

I already knew reading comprehension wasn't your strong suit, but that is next level...

Those 2 statements are very different.

The "every single big board has Carter in the 3rd" comment was in response to you asking why I thought he'd be there in the 3rd.... that should have been clear.

So to my point, YOUR 3rd round grade is tied directly to other websites and mocks

The concept that he'd be available in the 3rd is indeed tied to that. So what? My opinion and "grade" has nothing to do with that

...Who doesn't use the mock drafts of the pros (i.e. people whose job it is to scout players and make them) as some sort of a guideline? If you have enough free time to watch tape and scout all the players in college to independently create draft grades on each of them, you literally must have nothing else to do.

When the 2 of you go back and forth the voices I hear in my head are that of George Castanza's parents...

I ain't tellin who's who...

So again I'll ask if those sites drop his stock are you going to do the same or are you going to say the sites are wrong?

I'd say a person with nearly 20,000 posts has the time.

Just cuz you never heard of the guys lol

Do your research, then talk to me.

It was a good mock. Carter and Greene in rounds 3-4 are great. Michel might be a little bit of a reach, we don't know for sure. But, I'd have no problem taking him in the 2nd.

Overall, you built up the trenches and got a dynamic RB. I like it. Admittedly it's very similar to mine, though.
