I'm a big fan of Brandon Facyson, CB out of Virginia Tech. I really can't put my finger on why he's not regarded as AT LEAST a Day 2 pick, as I regularly see him with a Day 3 grade. Dude kind of reminds me of Talib. He's not a 4.4 guy, but he's got crazy length, and it just is almost impossible to complete a ball against him.

I think Facyson is about 6'2" 190lbs with crazy long arms.

Out of the top 51 FBS players for career passes defensed only one was a linebacker - Josey Jewell inside linebacker Iowa 6 INT's and 26 PB's.

Josey Jewell is the second coming of Luke Keukley. He's that good.

Danny Johnson, CB, Southern
Height: 5-9. Weight: 185.
Projected 40 Time: 4.40.
Projected Round (2018): 3-4.
12/9/17: In 2017, Johnson recorded 55 tackles with 12 passes broken up and three interceptions - two of them returned for touchdowns. As a wide receiver, he had three receptions for 54 yards and a touchdown.

9/1/17: Sources identified Johnson as a small-school prospect who impressed them during fall camp. They say Johnson runs the 40 in the 4.35-4.45-second range, which is an extremely fast time. Johsnon isn't just a fast sprinter as he led the FCS in interceptions last year with seven despite missing three games. That worked out as him recording an interception in every game he played in except for one. Johnson also chipped in 57 tackles with nine passes broken up. Scouts have favorably compared Johnson to other small-school cornerbacks like the Falcons' Robert Alford and the Jets' Buster Skrine. Sources also say that Johnson is further along at this stage than both Alford and Skrine were. They think that Johnson is a tough defender and built to be a nickelback in the NFL.

Predict what round Danny Johnson CB gets drafted, his college resume gives him 16 INT's and 39 PBU's.

Keep it in mind that Drafttek has 35 CB's listed and 18 of them are slated to go after 200 picks. Crazy combine numbers will change things of course.

Id start that line of thinking for every guy over 215lbs that doesn't have elite speed.

MJ Stewart and D'Montre Wade are some late round options.

Hughes is a good one. I’m thinking he’ll end up as a day 2 pick.

McFadden is going to test out as an elite prospect at the combine, and I couldn't be more pleased to see him move on from FSU early. He has an absolutely garbage attitude on the field, he has no playmaking ability, doesn't make a positive impact on the defense and was abysmal as a returner on special teams. I wouldn't pick him up as an UDFA, I just wouldn't want him in our locker room or on the field in any situation.

I would love to have Derwin on this team, though. Derwin is the only FSU guy I'd stand on the table for.

Headhunter. Hard hitter and good tackler but can overpersue and fooled by good quarterbacks.

Comparison: Tanard Jackson.

EDIT: Without the weed habit.

How high do we got to go to address our cornerback situation? A player I have been looking at if we get two of them is Danny Johnson, he seems to hang with everyone tight and makes an effort to play the ball.

They updated and not a lot of change - yet. CBS and Drafttek are almost the same, pretty close.

Any round depending on who is on the board. Solid CB depth in this class so I think the chances are better than not the Bucs dip into the CB class somewhere in rounds 1-4.

Agreed..

Trumaine Johnson
Johnathan Joseph
Malcolm Butler

Just a few of the names of impending FA's I'd love for us throw cash at...

Yup, definitely a very good FA corner class. I think Johnson would be my target, he'd add some much needed size to our CB group, and considering our division, we need it.
