Funny (or not funny)...

Draftwire just tweeted their FAR too early 3 round mock for 2018..

They have us taking Chubb at #9 in the 1st round..

Round 2 RB Penny SDSU
Round 3 CB Meeks Stanford

RB, CB, and DE are definitely the big three needs.

CB and DE are major holes on this Bucs roster. Out of the collection of Grimes-VH3-Spence-Ayers that we added in the 2016 offseason only Grimes has really panned out to this point. The other 3 have shown flashes but are not the players we need them to be. Grimes will be 35 and an UFA so yeah, we will be investing more resources in those position this offseason.

You know what this class has a TON of? really good linebackers. Go figure.

Roquan Smith @ Georgia is going to be an awesome pro.
Josey Jewell @ Iowa is probably the best Mike in the draft. watch the Penn State tape.
Skai Moore @ South Carolina plays really hard when he's in one piece (had a nasty neck injury last year)
Shaun Dion-Hamilton @ Alabama is all over the field and stuffs the run.

and that's just the guys I've gotten a good loook at.

Homer here.

Deebo Samuel says he will play again this year. He has one of the best catch rates in the country. He's returned the only 2 kicks kicked to him for TDs this season and he's a great runner. I don't think he should play again as he would likely be a 3rd or 4th round pick now, but he said today he wants to be back for Georgia.

Oh and he played on a broken leg. The guy is super competitive.

I'll take first round ends and third and fourth round corners all day..... Pressure does more for pass defense than actual coverage does most of the time

Dante Pettis, PR, Washington.

Dude returns punts like he's covered in flaming grease. Get him before Andy Reid does.

Myles Gaskin looks like a great third down back prospect. An upgrade from Chuck Sims who just ain't the same guy this season.

Josh Jackson, the cornerback from Iowa, is leading college football in PBUs with 17. He had three interceptions against Ohio State yesterday. The current buzz is he's a late first rounder.

Wasn't even on the radar going into the season. Love stories like that.

Tell you what, watching Chubb against Clemson yesterday was pretty eye opening..

Now, it may have just been a "bad game" and I'm sure Clemson schemed around him a bit, but he looked pretty slow on that right side..

Routinely couldn't make the play on the run to his inside and couldn't hold the edge or get to the QB..

You can watch FSU linebacker Emmitt Rice act like an absolute ***hole if you're DVRing the Clemson game. I've never seen a player act like more of a complete piece of garbage.

He is making a very strong case to be a first round cornerback. Started his career as a receiver, and it is definitely showing in the past seven days. Five picks? Holy Toledo.

If he isn't first round then I damn sure hope he doesn't make it past us in the second.

Anybody else not sold on Harold Landry? I watch him vs. Clemson and I watch Chubb vs. FSU and I see Chubb as the CLEAR better edge rusher.

I don't see Landry doing anything other than bull rushing. No rip, no swim, just full speed ahead. I think Donovan Smith could handle him and I think Landry must have been feeding on lousy competition.

With Chubb I see him swimming between double coverage, ripping inside (supposedly the best in the country at that) and a nasty attitude to boot. How anybody can have Landry ahead of him is beyond me.

Chubb is a cant miss player , dude has that fire in his belly . Something you can’t coach and has it . He has a lot better chance to stay healthy that Arden Key imo , they both will be good but Chubb is head and shoulders above everybody else

2nd best DE imo Chubb is bigger, stronger imo but Key would be a nice 2nd choice. A lot of people have him higher than Chubb but I don’t think so.

Great, another draft if talented players and we're going to spend the off-season debating a meh class of DEs again.

In my opinion, Chubb is head and shoulders the best rusher in the draft. He's near the top of the board I haven't made yet.

I think I've only seen one game of Landry's, and my expectations came crashing down. He's not very good.

I think Chubb is the best rusher as well. On one hand I'm upset he's the top of the class, because he's not Garrett or Clowney special, but on the other hand we have a better chance to land him where we would be picking. Due to his position, I still think it's a long shot.

To ME Chubb looks to turn out as "good" as say Ryan Kerrigan...(obviously a different type of player but I'm talking about production here)...

He's a 8-10 sack guy...

Not a Clowney/Garrett monster of some past drafts...

But because of his position and lack of talent in this draft at said position, he is going to be drafted very, very high..

At this point Clowney & Garrett are barely 8-10 sack guys. I'm not into draft evaluation yet so I'll just say we need to stop ignoring our trenches. Bottom line. Smith, Marpet and Spence were a start but we need premium talent up front on both sides of the ball.
