That is a very popular opinion ATM.

If any Golden Knights fans are reading this, I wouldn't get any Scott Frost ink right now.

Did you watch the game? Spelight is the problem

It bears keeping in mind that this Air Force team was 10-3 last year, with a bowl win and a win over Boise State. They were competitive in every game last year, and it shouldn't be surprising that they were competitive

Speight is a weener and has regressed badly. He has thrown eight touchdowns and seven interceptions in his last seven games, and he hasn't had a great game since Maryland last year (which coincidentally was also his last 300 yard game).

I know it isn't all his fault, but come on.

Well it looks like one Big 10 team knows how to roll up nearly 600 yards on a service academy

Didn't you guys just extend him?

I remember arguing on here how bad of a hire he was...and saying if they couldn't get a big name, they should have gotten a young up and comer coach

The guy is basically a .550 or .600 coach

No, no, no.

You see I used to think that the service academies had no proper chance against top 10 teams....then an expert convinced me that they are tough....and this particular one in Army had one of the nation's longest winning streaks coming into the game including their bowl win last year.

I'm sure OSU was a big underdog in Vegas, I should have bet, I would have cleaned up.

Make no mistake this is an ELITE win

And now we have to face another really tough team..Rutgers....those guys are incredible, they just won 65-0!

-----

In all seriousness, I was completely wrong in my assessment of your "tough" schedule ahead...Rather than looking at that schedule and seeing it was very a average stretch for a Big 10 school for a powerhouse, I should have adopted the mentality of a fan of a school such as Michigan or Illinois or a school on similar footing...I'm sure IU and Illinois would both agree that games against Air Force and Purdue would be difficult.

This is completely on me. I apologize

Cheb, what do you think of Purdue-Michigan game this weekend?

I think M will have a big advantage with their D-line vs Purdue's O-line. Gary and Winovich will eat up the Purdue OTs.

Big homecoming game for Purdue

Lol, I listed all the games in order of them being played

The only decent ones are the last two.

purdue vs Michigan decent?

Lol

I'm sorry the last 15 years have made you forget what being a top 10 program is like. Unlike you, I hold Mich to a very high standard. It is a top 10 program of all time.

Will crappy teams occasionally beat a very good team? Of course. OSU has certainly lost to some Big 10 bottom feeders...but that doesn't mean those are "tough" games.

If you need to convince yourself otherwise be my guest. But just like last week, I along with Vegas will think Mich should win that game at least 9 times out of 10.

I'll save the "tough" moniker for when Mich plays OSU, PSU, Wisc and occasionally MSU, Neb and Iowa

Interesting...one game at a time yet the thing that started this banter was you looking at a 5 game stretch for UM

:)

I think OSU has 6 or 7 wins a year that should be easy

As for the tough games, I have predicted many more OSU losses then wins, including the national championship year, I predicted losses vs Wisc in title game, Alabama and Oregon...I even said OU would beat us if we didn't change our play calling and pound them...and we didn't

There wasn't really any buzz leading up to this, but by the same token, Eichorst fired Bo coming off a 9-3 season and brought in a candidate on nobody's radar. you're going to do that, you'd better not be as mediocre as we've been to this point. It frankly surprises me Riley has struggled like he is. I chalk up a big part of that to Bo's crap recruiting. We had one guy drafted last year and we might have one guy drafted next year. But ultimately you can't lose games at home to NIU.

O'Korn is doing work today. Miles better than Speight.

Michigan just went up 20-10. It's not over yet, but that sure helped. Credit to Purdue for putting up a good fight, but that Michigan offense needs to get its **** together if they expect to be a truly dominant team. The defense is championship level, but the O is simply not up to par.

28-10, as Chris Evans slams the door. The Michigan offense has started to look healthy with O'Korn in there.

It's amazing how Lovie managed to move everything wrong with his defense up to Illinois without fixing any of it. They couldn't cover, they couldn't tackle, and they committed dumb penalties. It was like living three years ago on Sundays.
