19: R1P19
TE O.J. HOWARD
ALABAMA

I keep getting Howard available at 19, which would be amazing. I don't really think that's going to happen come draft day, but you could just spell this pick David Njoku instead (who went before Howard in this sim!?!) and we'd still be getting a premier talent at a good value.

50: R2P18
CB ADOREE' JACKSON
USC

Now this I think may come to pass. There is so much DB talent in this draft that we're going to see 1st rounders going all thru the 2nd, and this is one such example. If his 40 time gets him drafter sooner than this, you could put someone like Cordrea Tankersly here. Brent Grimes isn't going to be here forever.

84: R3P20
S MARCUS MAYE
FLORIDA

And now a 2nd round talent drops to the 3rd for the same reason as before. I like that we added Wilcox in free agency but we're drafting another piece. Maye is a solid-tackling strong safety who can get from sideline to sideline.

126: R4P19
EDGE DAESHON HALL
TEXAS A&M

William Gholston is a 3-4 end if you look at him, and so is Hall - but Mike Smith's defense seems to need a strong, oversized end to stand strong against the run. This team was BAD against the run last year when Gholston came off the field, and we didn't have anyone built like him to help hold down that spot. Now we do.

162: R5P18
WR ROBERT DAVIS
GEORGIA STATE

SLEEPER ALERT! Davis' SPARQ scores are comparable to Julio Jones'. He catches with his hands and makes people miss. But he played for Georgia State in the Sun Belt Conference, and he didn't have the kind of ridiculous overproduction we sometimes expect when an NFL-caliber prospect is playing against inferior talent. The truth is that receivers who put up those kinds of numbers are usually just being force-fed the ball, and that wasn't the case with Davis. But the tape shows him able to get open, make big-time catches, and get a lot of yards after the catch. I think he's going to be really good for someone, and I hope that someone is the Bucs.

204: R6P20
DL DEANGELO BROWN
LOUISVILLE

Chris Baker's arrival in FA shored up one of the less talked-about but still-important holes on the roster: nose tackle. Before his signing I would be more likely to address this sooner, but this is a great pickup in round 6. Brown isn't a pass-rushing threat, but he will take on double teams all day long and hold the point as well as anyone in this draft.

237: R7P19
RB JOE WILLIAMS
UTAH

Ah, the "oh **** we need a running back and I forgot to take one" pick. Actually, Williams can play: he shows great balance and makes strong cuts, and doesn't go down to arm tackles. But he runs a little too upright, isn't going to power through body tackles, and he really can't catch. Now that it doesn't look like we're cutting Martin, though, this may not be as much of a need as previously thought.

I double dipped at TE because I don't care for our group. Plus Everett has upside that late.

Our group consists of Brate and Stocker who offers absolutely nothing as a receiver. Double dipping isn't a bad idea.

They still could, of course, I just feel like they've been keeping the cards so close to the vest while saying all the right things through the start of free agency. Maybe that changes if someone they really like is available high in the draft. Or maybe they never intended to hold onto him. But as of now they have him ready for OTAs and they haven't gone after any obvious replacements in free agency.

When ASJ screwed the pooch they kicked him to the curb, fast. They haven't done that with Martin, not yet, anyways.

Those were different things. ASJ was in trouble legally. And was already on thin ice. There's no reason to cut Doug until we get his replacement. It would be stupid otherwise. Like quitting your job before you get a new job lined up.

I find to interesting that the online scouting community has cooled so much on Feeney. He was a near lock for the first round during the season. Now, people say he is a zone specialist with little power, which is disengenous to say the least.

If we could have those first four rounds, holy crap. Bring on the season.

Don't sleep on Williams out of BYU. That is a tough, inside runner that moves the pile. Would be a nice pickup.

This draft class is incredibly deep overall. So there will be good prospects even on day 3. Feeney has been a stud at Indiana helping the likes of Tevin Coleman and Jordan Howard. I don't buy the Feeney=Zone blocker narrative either. He's shown his power in the cut-ups I've watched on draftbreakdown.com and has good size. I feel that the 'zone blocker' narrative is a lazy way to describe an athletic Oline prospect at times.

As far as Jamal Williams from BYU - He's been my fav day 3 RB prospect for a while now. His tape his impressive. He may not WOW you with splash plays, but it's always positive and I like his running style.

A lot of sims having Teez fall to us in the second. I really doubt that, but he's my favorite CB in this draft and would snatch him up fast. With that said, I passed on him.... lol. While it may not address "need" like some members like, I just couldn't walk away from the talent that was there.....

He doesn't know how to run the 40 so many analysts are knocking him for it. But Dr, this mock is made up of pixie dust and fairies. Solomon Thomas at 19?? Yea, this time on November.

Hey, I'm not the one who put him there, the sim did. And maybe he does fall. I thought Thomas was a huge talent not getting enough credit back in november, and maybe now the pendulum has swung the other way? Guys like Spence and Bowers were talked about as top picks before being there in day 2. Who knows.

All I know is if by some miracle Thomas is there at 19, like in the sim, I'm running to the podium.

It's more than just the 40.

https://www.mockdraftable.com/player/teez-tabor

11th percentile in the 40, 4th percentile in the vertical, 40th percentile in broad jump, 8th percentile in the bench. Similarly to Dalvin Cook, it paints the picture of a guy that isn't very athletic.

Yeha, they keep having Dede fall to the 5th, which I would love to happen of course.

Maybe I should change the setting. Fanspeak setting keeps giving me too much great stuff.

Westbrook is way more of a character flag than Mixon. Westbrook has a reoccurring problem with beating in his babies momma. The assaults are bad and he continues to be tied to this woman. The assaults may have been in 12 and 13, but he had police called on him twice last year while interacting with her. One of which resulted in a trespassing charge. Dont know how old the two children he has with this woman are, but you have to assume young enough to still be in her house through most/all of his playing career. His issues with her could pop up at any time. So even if you can overlook past the multiple domestic violence assaults, there is no way you can be comfortable that they are completely in his past.

The other difference, from what I've read, is that Mixon is an elite prospect with red flags off the field whereas Westbrook was likely a day three pick without the off field stuff.

Yeah, did I miss a memo on Foreman? I do mocks for fun in the background to when I browse the web and I see him in the later rounds across multiple big boards. I thought he was a highly regarded prospect. I checked his combine numbers and they were well above average for his size.
